Your perspective on what citizens can do to reduce environmental pollution is interesting. However, while it sounds ideal, in practice it's quite difficult to produce eco-friendly products when an entire polluting industrial system has been created over more than 150 years of hydrocarbon exploitation. These pollutants cannot be easily removed from the environment and cannot be quickly replaced in the industrial sector without causing an economic collapse.
