The Haifa refinery was attacked with very expensive ballistic missiles, not drones. Also the damage was extremely minimal - a fire in a mostly empty tank that was put out in 5 minutes. The Haifa Refinery operator Barzan announced zero impact on operations.

US losses in this war are 10x lower than previous wars of this magnitude (ie Gulf War) and 1000x lower than the Vietnam War.

The upshot of this war is that technological dominance means the stronger side can cause much more damage (ie Iran's military & industrial base already more destroyed than Germany in May 1945) at far lower costs than ever before.

Drones are over-rated. They have their purpose but their extensive use in the Ukraine War is because both sides are technologically backward.

Israel has had no issues with drones and has destroyed 1000s of enemy drones with extremely small losses.
