My sister is going home tomorrow after two weeks of fun filled excitement in Riviera Maya, in the great state of Quintana Roo, Mexico.
Yesterday, we went to Tulum, where we visited the Tulum Maya ruins right at the beach, and after that we went to
Casa Tortuga.
Casa Tortuga is a place owned by a Mayan family. It had 4 cenotes. Two underground ones and two outdoors.
Let me share some photos with you from our day yesterday.
The beautiful ruins of the Mayan temples in Tulum. This was only a small part. I have more on my GoPro. You'll have to wait for those.
As well as the footage of the cenotes.
We had an amazing time, and were sooooo tired when we got home.
So it was shower and bed. Even me, the night owl!
If you're ever in this neck of the woods, then I highly recommend a visit to the Maya ruins, and then the cenotes to cool off. Trust me: you'll need it!
I'll leave you with one more family picture. Well, half. My eldest daughter, her boyfriend, and my sister. Keep an eye out for more posts about our adventures!
Of course, all photos are my own.

Very nice! This looks like a really cool place to visit. I have never been to Mexico, but I think I might be going there next year. My buddy is turning 50 and he wants to go to Cabo for his birthday. We will see if it all pans out. I found your post on List Nerds, but I know you from other places around Hive!
Hey @bozz! I know you too hehe ;)
Oh, I really want to visit Cabo and Baja California but I think right now it's a bit
out of my financial plan hehe. Soon though...
But meanwhile there's so much to explore, even just in our direct surroundings.
I think I'd need a few lifetimes to see it all.
I am sure! I feel the same away about the US. There are so many places I want to visit out of the country, but then I think of all the places here I haven't been yet! I have a feeling Cabo will be one of those "we are on a spending freeze" vacations when we get back home. Airfare alone these days. Geesh!
So much beauty there .. nature.. awesome!
These waters seem so attractive to dive in :)
Yes, it is an amazing place.
The waters are amazing too.
Unfortunately, most of our coastline here has to deal with the annoying
Saragossa seaweed that has started to come in now, which makes the water
at the beaches not so nice to dive into.
However, there are plenty of cenotes around, so we're still lucky :)
Is that a temporary thing that seaweed? Or there to stay?
You see, I know nothing about that stuff :P
Cool your photos, I loved them...
I have always wanted to travel to see the pyramids of Mexico, the world pyramids have always attracted me to the mystic.

I went to Tulum about a decade ago and it was incredible. Such an awesome spot, and the beach down the 'cliff' too..Just awesome!
Thanks for sharing this on ListNerds!

I am sure you wish your sister could stay longer but as the saying goes, "all good things must come to an end". Your location is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
