From a feminine perspective, yep, it's the crypto bro stereotype that puts us off. And to be fair, I've met my fair share of crypto bros, especially among the younger generations, you know, the kind who puts everything on that one "magic" coin that's gonna make him a zillionaire? which isn't only boring but doesn't signal good qualities for a prospective mate.
I guess just mentioning crypto on a date's gonna get you some odd stares, but it depends a lot how you lead it. If you go into your "surefire get rich scheme", you've lost it, but if you otherwise talk like a normal, ordinary dude who sees it as a maybe and doesn't invest more than they can lose, you should be fine...just my two cents worth, idk.
Think scammy crypto bros are also not very much respected in the crypto space, unfortunately too many scammers not just in crypto but IRL out there.
