Copper is a highly valued metal in countries like COLOMBIA, in fact there are very organized mafias, so much so that they send people from the street to steal copper from public wiring and more,It is a problem that has become too big for the authorities, it is something that the news often says

Wow the METAL MAFIA sounds like a garage band! We had a coper thief cause havoc when they raided the copper from a water pump system that runs under an interstate bridge - there was a big rain that flooded under the bridge and blocked traffic for a whole day, since the pump wasn't operational.
Now if anyone wants to SCRAP copper over a certain amount, they have to show ID and get fingerprinted and wait 3 days for payment. All because of copper thieves! I wonder what would happen if copper went to $30/lb ???

If someone wants to scrap copper without presenting ID, getting taken biometrics, and waiting for payment, then he/she will just take a portion of the copper which will be noticeably below the threshold for verification. 🤔🤯🤓 !WEIRD !LOLZ
