OMG! That's true. When I wrote this week's topic I was almost certain the theories were false, but I had forgotten that it is one of the ways some governments stay in power by buying people's votes

Even though certain governments try to provide basic amenities to people like schools, good roads, electricity, water, etc., individuals should be able to take 100% responsibility for their future instead of relying on government

Exactly. All the basic things the government gives should be like a safety net, and people should always try to get enough money to avoid depending on the government
