RE: Cleveland Rocks?

Pretty gloomy skies are something that I actually like, well maybe not so much if I have to drive. A guy I went to college with lives in Cleveland and I don't remember why that is. Needless to say he isn't constantly bombarding me with information about how great it is to live there. I think that Cleveland is probably a lot like any other US city with a medium sized population. It's good enough but nothing crazy... and really I see no problem with that at all. I would rather live in a "meh" place like Cleveland than a nutso place like Chicago or NYC.

I'm a country boy, I don't mind visiting the big city, but I am fine living on the outskirts of my little 4000 citizen town. I didn't hate Cleveland, but there was just something "trashy" about it. Of course, I live just about two hours north of Detroit, so I can't really talk. Plus Flint is just an hour down the road which I am sure most everyone has heard of by now, but if you haven't visited, you don't even know! :)

I'm a country boy as well but that will not be an option for me here in Vietnam because I have been lazy and speak basically zero of the language and that isn't going to change. When I lived in Thailand I could live anywhere because I learned to speak Thai. I just don't have it in me to learn something that difficult again. Once was enough.

In Vietnam it is very rare to encounter anyone that speaks any English outside of the major cities so this is the reason why almost all of the expat community lives in those places, especially my neighborhood that is so foreigner that other than staff, you rarely see any Vietnamese people.
