Hi, lovely people of the awesome world of Hive. During the last holidays there was a little family get together, planned at my mums place, my dad having translated years back. So there we were, my wife and I , my elder brother and his wife , our mum and a female cousin who had been away for a while, and decided to visit.
There was plenty to eat and drink and we shared stories virtually about everything that had happened since the last time we all met. It was an occasion filled with plenty of fun and laughter. At the end of which, we snapped some pictures and we had small talk as we walked, while leaving for our different homes.
Suddenly, my cousin heard a song she really loved being played on her phone, and she immediately started dancing with plenty of excitement and vigor . I was amazed by the spontaneity of it and the care free-spirited way she did it.
She just danced, danced and danced happily, oblivious of who else was around and even where she was, with no care in the world, just having her fun. She brought smiles and excitement to our faces as we watched her dance, and we allowed her dance to her heart satisfaction. I was filled with admiration for her, because she could freely express herself so beautifully in a spontaneous way.
At the end, she informed everyone about her passion and love for dancing, that she can't help it when the excitement gets to her, and something in me wished I was like her. She was in her late fifties and was looking healthy, fit , radiant and beautiful.
Having retired from her job, her favorite hobby is plenty of dancing, which she says, keeps her in good shape. I merely smiled in excitement while watching her, for one I am not too good a dancer, so says my wife. But I try once in a while.
It brought a greater awareness about dancing, and I have taken to dancing every now and then, just for fun and I have come to realize some personal health benefits. Some of which are;
And another lesson learnt, is not letting life get me bottled up, but to enjoy life when and where I can happily, and this should be often and with a passion, unless where is the fun in life.
So when last did you dance?
What is that passion that gets you into a bit of a sweat?
And what other benefits are you experiencing from dancing or your passion?
Kindly add your comments or reactions, thanks.
Dancing is a great way to express yourself and have fun. Thanks for sharing.
Dancing is truly fun. While blogging, a bit of music and dancing as a break does wonders to me, thanks @rcaine .

Sounds like you had a great time catching up with family! I love seeing people do stuff like this with not a care in the world about whats around or who's watching. Dancing just brings happiness and is such a great way to express yourself. Definitely a good exercise! Thanks for sharing on Listnerds and keep dancing :)
I did enjoy the family time and you are just so right on dancing bringing happiness, I appreciate your presence, thanks.
