The Best Way to Improve HIVE-Engine is for people to use the engine.

HIVE-Engine suffers a lack of active traders. The best way to solve this problem is for people to actively trade their #hive-engine tokens. You can help increase the liquidity on HIVE Engine by going through your wallet on HIVE-engine.com or TribalDex.com and placing sell orders just below the ASK price. If you have some free SWAP.HIVE; you might place a bid just over the BID.

I often place bids on both sides of the margin. This tightens the trading gap and improves the liquidity of the platform.

NOTE: if the current trade on the BID or ASK price is low. I often stack my bid on the existing bid.

There are several bid bots that troll Hive-engine. I like to push up the price on the bid bots and this helps the small number of humans that use the platform.

For this post I thought I would like to draw your attention to the open orders page. This page shows all of you current open orders by date. The program automatically cancels open orders after a month.

I wish that the table showed the totals. To find the totals, I copy the html from the page. I paste it into a text editor to remove the formatting. I also remove commas and dollar signs. I then import the data into a spread sheet where I can calculate the sum of the products.

I really wish that they program did this for me.

Anyway, I just imported the data into a spread sheet and found that I had 68 buy orders for 487,322 tokens with a total value of 3.87 HIVE. I had 123 sell orders of 36,165 tokens for 40.85 HIVE.

I thought I had more buy orders.

The problem I've seen through the years is that most of the transactions in HIVE-Engine take place on the BID. I suspect that something like 90% of the transactions take place on the bid.

Since my buy orders are more likely to execute, I end accumulating more sell orders than buy orders.

BTW, when I see a toke with zero buy orders, I like to drop an order for 0.00000001 HIVE. These low ball bids rarely execute which is why I have orders for about a half million tokens.

The BuyNBurn Accounts

The @buynburn account uses it precious HIVE earnings to buy and burn HE tokens. The amount of coins I buy is limited to the earnings for the post.

The order page showed that I had 49 buy orders for 3,275,896 tokens worth 0.63 HIVE.

What I do is place a buy just about the ASK price for struggling coins. When I discover a token with no bids, I place an order at 0.00000001 HIVE. Most of the reasonable bids execute. The low ball bids usually languish.

Some times people wanting to clean up their account sell at lowest possible price.

Looking at my hive engine wallet, I see that I have 2,092,979 tokens to burn. I think I will burn 3,145 #VYB after this post. The VYB is worth a dime.

The amount of coins I burn is determined by the upvotes I get for my posts. HIVEstats.io shows that I've earned only 48 HP so far. But I've been able to burn millions of tokens.

The open orders shows the open orders for the account. The page would be more useful if it included totals.

I calculate my totals by pasting the totals in a spreadsheet.

I make a little bit of money by playing the margin. My primary goal in actively trading on HE is to help improve the liquidity of the platform.
