It's just like you say, it gets to your core. The idea of being forgotten like that is simply terrifying, and V.E. Schwab makes you believe it and feel it firsthand. And about Henry... my God! When he remembers her for the first time, I got a lump in my throat. It was such a moment of hope and relief, like someone was watching you again after all this time. These characters are so complex that it's impossible not to feel a deep connection with them.
