Hive Power Up Day September 2025
It's the first of September, and that means it's HPUD, Hive Power Up Day.
I've done my bit, and powered up 50 HIVE. That gives me about 2-3 months worth of liquid HIVE before I need to buy more.
The power up brings me close to 12800 HP, so 13K is looking close. I'll probably be close enough by October's HPUD that the power up on that day should tip me over - most months the combination of earnings and HPUD are around 200HP.
As a guess, hitting the big 15K will be around the middle of next year. Unless I win the lottery, of course.....
Considering Tribe Token activity for the month, the big story was LEO's massive pump, followed by quite the dump. Although it's dropped down considerably, the value I'm holding is still about twice what I spent, which is a nice feeling after months where my LEO was worth well under half what I spent on it.
A downside on the focus on LEO is that most other Tribe Tokewns have dropped in price. I guess with limited funds and attention to go around, people haven't got the resources to keep multiple tokens supported. BBHO seems to have been particularly hard hit, but I'm hoping that as LEO drops back to settle at whatever turns out to be it's new support level the attention will swing back to focus on BBHO.
It'll be interesting to see what September has in store for us, both in the crypto world and in real life ! Here in the UK things are rapidly getting a bit exciting, and I'm very glad I've got a reserve of crypto which is easily internationally portable if things go too badly sideways.
