Just today I noticed that my voting power meter on the www.thebbhproject.com interface was different than the meter on PeakD.com
@bradleyarrow @jongolson - is there good documentation for this somewhere?
When I vote for a post from the Tribe page, is my voting strength only calculated on the basis of staked BBHO?
These may be concepts that everyone is well familiar with, but it dawned on me that I may be wasting some of my "BBHO-Power" by not interacting with content more frequently from the Tribe page itself.
Does the implementation vary by tribe page for instance with different mechanics on the CENT and IMALIVE blogs?

Documentation is next to non excistant.
I am not sure why the vote meter would be different. Maybe Jon can answer better than me.
Voting from the Tribe page should make no difference for the Hive part of voting. Staked BBHO should only effect how much BBHO is rewarded with your vote.
I am going to have to have a closer look at this. Unless Jon can help me clairfy.

Thanks, I was curious - and if there is a separate calculation involved - obviously I'd like to make the best use of BBHO voting power.

That's why I have separate account for BBH. Just because I want to control the votes I send. There's no documentation as far as I know. But there is the options to change vote sliders on some front ends.
Another data point before voting for your post my voting power here in BBH is 96.39%, on PeakD.com my voting mana is 67.3% (I've probably been overvoting).
After voting 100% here BBH voting meter dropped to 94.51% and PeakD dropped to 65.91.
This suggests it's voting from the same pool but the voting meters aren't synchronized.
Good to know!

My understanding is that the tribe voting power is only reduced for votes that match the corresponding tribe tags/metadata. So you would spend 2% Hive VP for each 100% vote on Hive, but only reduce the tribe VP if the post matches the tribe settings.
You can find the tribe params here:
https://scot-api.hive-engine.com/config?token=BBHO
You can see that there are per-tribe values for voting power reductions (*100, so 200 == 2%) regeneration (in seconds), cashout window, curation, etc...
Very interesting and helpful! Thank you.
sorry, ignore this scot-api link, I think this is outdated. The information is now available via the HiveEngine API:
