(edited)Hmm, I wonder why some sports are even in existence, why should I risk my life in a battle just to earn a living? Well we all have different mindsets.
You are right, some dangers in contact sports can't be avoided and forcing safety gears on the players might end up complicating the whole thing

That's just, even though they seem good and helpful, they can impact the game negatively sometimes.
