RE: Austrian Economy (literally) idea: Abolish all subsidies and introduce a flat tax of 16% in Austria instead. Good or bad proposal?

Alllowing only useful subsidies is a good way to stabilize the economy. Not everything is supposed to be subsidized in a modern economy. In my country the fuel subsidy was recently removed after almost a decade or more and it caused our economy to take a tumble.
