Indeed, many people help others because they want to have something to say about being the one who helped when the person needed help.

You are right about this, many people fail to be kind with their words. Just say No, I can not help you or I am sorry I can not help you and move on, why go about making the person feel stupid because they asked for help.

If life had not dealt with them, they won't understand, but such is life.
