Text Paintings for Anarchy for Art

The most recent batch of Blond Cards took so long to finish and process, that virtually everything else got shelved for at least a week. Last night was the opposite. The first twenty Anarchy for Art Text Paintings conceived, done, photographed, edited, filmed, all uploaded within 24 hours. A quick sketch last night while watching Death in Paradise with my dad, traced in Black Indian Ink onto twenty sheets of A4 size 80gsm High White office paper. 80gsm is perfect thickness for easy gluing without the corners curling up and a veiny effect on the surface. Stamping the red letters took a while and meant I didn't get to sleep till 6am, but also meant they were semi-dry by this afternoon. If you press lettering done in Caligo water soluble oil based printing inks onto newspaper soon after printing to flatten the ink down, they're dry enough within a day to PVA and get the right amount of smudge when you brush over them. At least for Rubine Red. Each colour seems to have different drying times. Napthol Red dries much quicker for some reason. As does black.
Even the cardboard was only found today. I usually get my cardboard from the streets around Camden Market after the shops have closed, but found a load in Muswell Hill today, about a two minute walk from my house. The best cardboard find I've ever had. About four laundry bags full of top quality thick cardboard. Would have cost at least £300 online. Getting it for free at Camden would have taken four trips there and back on the 134 bus. That's a total of six hours sat on the bus I won't need to do anymore. Thank you Muswell Hill! I made this one the first in the series as the manifesto got torn when I left it on some semi-dry glue. I always keep the first of my editions, so thought I might as well keep this one as I don't need to read it. There's holes in the top corners for hanging. Hopefully this will stop people framing them as I don't like frames around artwork, and especially don't like glass being infront. The text of the manifesto is in an earlier post.

Also since my last post...Yesterday, the first 24 flag paintings were finished, processed and are now ready for Camden. Alan, the Camden Market Town crier, suggested I put up some paintings of flags around my Camden Market Free Art Man display saying, in each language, that if any passer by does a one minute video interview for my YouTube channel they qualify for a free artwork of their choice. Alan also suggested I put my posters up on the nearby walls, which I've since started doing and seen a benefit from. Here's a photo of Alan promoting one of my Jompiy Series O artworks.
