But, probably the president of Colombia is a drug lord too, maybe. I mean, he is the president of Colombia after all! But there is just one problem, the current president is the opposition party, on his first term, after about 20 years of mostly single party rule. Which of the two parties is more likely to be involved? The guy who just got here? Hmmmm, something sounds fishy to me.

The truth is that they are all involved, both sides, one way or another. Thats how latin america has been forever. It's all about corruption and power. In Brazil it's the same, doesn't matter what party is in power or how long they have been in power, it's not about the country, it's not about the people, it's about corruption and power. When a new guy sits in office, he just takes over all the schemes.
With all the natural resources we have in south america, we should be in a different position.
