RE: Are Libraries Still Necessary in the Internet Era?

The last solar storm that struck Earth with intensity destroyed almost the entire telegraph system for much of the world. At that time, there were no computers or satellites.

It's an event we can't predict or prevent, and it's quite possible that the next solar storm will damage exposed computers and servers on the planet, and indeed all electronic devices.

It's an interesting topic, but I still believe books shouldn't be neglected. We can't predict when a similar event will happen, and in those moments, we'll only have to rely on books.
