I agree with you that allowance for children is very bad depending on what the parents are using it for. If they truly use it for teaching the children to invest, manage, and save, that's good. Allowance is for those who work and they are due for their gain at the end of the month.

If providing for children, food, fees, and shelter are there, then there is nothing to worry about allowance.
