My daughter decided she was spending too much time watching videos, so she turned off the PC and was bored. Trying to think of something to do, it came to mind that perhaps she could sell some lemonade!
First she wanted to set up a table, but daddy suggested getting the wagon and knocking on some doors. She thought that was a GREAT idea!!!
She made a cute sign and taped it to the side of the wagon. We made a quick trip to the grocery store to pick up ingredients. This is premium pink lemonabe punch: pink lemonade concentrate, club soda, sugar and a splash of grape juice.
She put happy music on the wireless speaker and we marched around the block, knocking on doors. The music made it feel like a party! Even though it was very hot... just perfect for pink lemonabe punch!
The children took turns knocking on doors. They went all the way up two streets and knocked on over 30 doors! Of those, only about a half-dozen answered, but of those, the children sold 4 cups of lemonabe! When it was all over, the children counted the money: $7.00 total (one person got half off).
When it came time for accounting the money: the two workers who made it to the end got paid. After $2.00 in expenses (paid to daddy), the "treasurer" got $2.00 and the CEO got $3.00.
Now we're looking for ways to SCALE this up!
Bless the Most High!
We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.
No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each manโs work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13
Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations.
Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books.

I wonder how much profit (or loss) your children were able to make with selling those pink lemonades. ๐ฅค I assume that when you got home with the leftovers, you drunk what you wanted and put the rest in the refrigerator! ๐ !WEIRD !INDEED !HOPE !PIZZA
Each cup of lemonade material cost is $0.50. The children sold four cups at $2.00 each, so a 75% profit on each. At scale, that could make a lot of money. Our biggest expense was the club soda, we could lower costs by finding a cheaper soda supplier. !BBH
It would be more !FUN if people who liked your children's lemonade could pre-order !INDEED, which means not only would your children plan another lemonade selling activity, but also guaranteed sales. ๐๐ !HOPE !ALIVE
