That was such a walk with a bit of everything! But beware of the sun, as it is a lot more powerful than it was in the past years. I got some severe burns by mistake last year and never realised how far things can go.

Yes, that is what we like. Culture, architecture and nature.

The sun can be dangerous indeed. I wear a cap and try to stay out of the sun most of the time. I've had 2nd degree burns with huge blisters caused by sunburn myself when I was young, so I always try to stay out of the sun when possible.

And during a long walk in the heat, hydration is very important. So we're looking for places where we can refill our bottles before we go. In The Netherlands we have quite a few public water taps, so you sometimes find those along the route.
I have an app which shows them on a map.
