I've been working out how much my pensions could pay me and it's not too bad as I've been putting plenty in for years. We don't have to worry so much about medical costs here though. We don't really want such worries in later life. We managed to pay off our mortgage, but then the kids may need help on that front.

Yeah, that's one of the things that is so screwed up in the US. I know it's just greed that keeps the healthcare system from adopting something more reasonable like the rest of the world has.
