RE: Parents, Don't Avoid This Conversation: Your Child's Safety Depends on It

This is a wonderful message on this topic. I also know the parents in my country they avoid these conversations because they feel uncomfortable but staying silent can leave children confused and they may end up doing something wrong and I don't think that's a valid thing to do. Later parents blame the child for being careless. I think they should learn about body safety personal boundaries earlier and an age-appropriate way is an important part of protecting them. I also liked your point about building a friendly relationship with children. I think nowadays parents are friendlier than ever. So, new generation hopefully they will receive good treatments from their parent. It's obvious a kid feels safe talking to their parents only when they don't fear of being judged, they're much more likely to speak up if something is wrong. Like I do not have any fear for my parents so we usually have open communication. Thank you for writing about such an important topic and helping raise awareness.
