Hello music lovers.

It's Vibes Web 3.0 Music Competition Week 16 with the theme: "ROOTS" and for my entry, I am here with an original song titled "DECISION".

The theme of this week took me back to the first song, DECISION, which I composed in 2010. I knew a day would come for me to perform this song although I had no idea it would be this soon as I planned to release it when it's all set with an instrumental. This is the second original song I'm putting out but the first I ever wrote.

Backstory Of Decision

At that time I was in my early years at University and had no interest in being in a relationship yet, I had good friends (male and female) and cared for them. I heard stories about other relationships and they didn't suit my definition of one.

Then the question popped up from one of my male friends, that wasn't what I wanted to hear, hahaha, then I gave a response of being okay as friends but he wanted a serious relationship.

In my head I was like, serious relationship at this early stage, no way. What was he even thinking?

I didn't want to be harsh with my words, so after I explained, he understood and we had to define the relationship with my principles involved. Hahaha. Decent as I wanted, it was a good feeling.

Anyway, I composed "Decision" with the idea of it being a rock song as it was my favourite genre of music and had rock friends who planned to form a rock band then. To my greatest surprise, when I sang the song to one of them, he said the chorus sounded like another rock song which I had not heard, then he sang the song and it sounded similar.

Conclusion

It's important to make a decision and define your relationship to be on track.

Also, we may have the same ideas, but what differs is the creativity and how quickly an action is taken to make it a reality.

Just know that your idea is another's and the earlier you take a bold step in action, the earlier you make your idea a reality.
