Hatten heuten ein chilliges Hive-Meetup auf der Dachterrasse vom Ikea und wir hatten super Glück mit dem Wetter, ein herrlicher Spätsommerabend.

Motto des heutigen Meetups war das leidige Thema, wie neue User (und Investoren) auf Hive bringen.

Ich denke, die effektivste und günstigste Methode ist Mundpropaganda.

Wenn jeder User nur einen weiteren Freund, Bekannten, Krypto-Nerd, der sich für alternative und zensurresistente Social-Media interessiert, onboarded, würde sich die User-Base auf einen Schlag verdoppeln.

Call to action: Bringt einen (1) Freund, Bekannten, Krypto-Nerd auf Hive. Job done.

Today we had a chill Hive Meetup on the roof terrace of Ikea and we were very lucky with the weather, a beautiful late summer evening.

The theme of today's meetup was the annoying topic, how to bring new users (and investors) to Hive.

I think the most effective and cheapest method is word of mouth.

If every user onboarded just one more friend, acquaintance, crypto-nerd interested in alternative and censorship-resistant social media, the user base would double in one fell swoop.

Call to action: Bring one (1) friend, acquaintance, crypto nerd to Hive. Job done.

I have onboarded only 1 person and that person only did Splinterlands/Actifit for a while. It's too bad that they quit after a while though so retention is tough.

It's good that you all are meeting each other and telling new people about this platform, the more new people come on it, the better for them and the people working here.

I tried that but with regular people, and they found it interesting but got away quite fast.

The main reason is that are too many implicit rules (especially from the point of view of the self proclaimed Hive police ) and the content is not on par with instagram/tiktok. In terms of media diversification (mainly old fashioned text blogs) but also content. There are no brands working on their online presence, no large scale bloggers either since they cannot earn as much as on other social networks.

If you are not tied by your investment, there are little reasons to use Hive over conventional platforms (and freedom of speech is not one of them).

I think it's a good idea. I invited a friend a while ago, but they got really into the NFT games on the HIVE network.

I have recruited 1 person into the Hive ecosystem, my son. He has been investing in Hive for two years. I have in. there are 2 more people in the family, whom I will later show how to work in this blockchain :)
