CrowdStrike ist eine amerikanische Cybersecurity-Firma und anscheinend bei Airlines, Banken, Supermärkten und kritischer Infrastruktur sehr beliebt.
CrowdStrike hat etwas geschafft, was keinem Hacker zuvor gelungen ist. Kritische Infrastruktur in den USA und in der EU lahmzulegen.
Ein fehlerhaftes, unzureichend getestetes Viren-Update des Anti-Malware-Scanners von CrowdStrike hat anscheinend einen globalen Ausfall von Millionen Windows-Rechnern zur Folge gehabt und praktisch den gesamten westlichen Flugverkehr zum Erliegen gebracht.
Auch Kassensysteme sind ausgefallen und sogar Krankenhäuser und Sky News und weitere Sender sollen von CrowdStrike lahmgelegt worden sein.
Die Aktie hat bereits am Freitag 10% verloren. Bin gespannt, wie es nächste Woche weitergeht.
Trump wollte vor einiger Zeit auch CrowdStrike Connections der Demokraten in die Ukraine aufgedeckt haben. Conspiracy Theory oder doch Realität?

CrowdStrike is an American cybersecurity company and is apparently very popular with airlines, banks, supermarkets and critical infrastructure.
CrowdStrike has managed to do something that no hacker has managed to do before. Paralyzing critical infrastructure in the US and the EU.
A faulty, insufficiently tested virus update of CrowdStrike's anti-malware scanner has apparently caused a global outage of millions of Windows computers and brought virtually all Western air traffic to a standstill.
Point of sale payment systems have also failed and even hospitals and Sky News and other broadcasters are said to have been paralyzed by CrowdStrike.
The share already lost 10% on Friday. It will be interesting to see what happens next week.
Some time ago, Trump also allegedly uncovered CrowdStrike connections between the Democrats (DNC) and Ukraine. Conspiracy theory or reality after all?

I wasn't but I was shocked to see that in the world today one company could cripple much of the world because of one bug in an update. That means a smart terrorist could apply for a job in a big company like this and cripple much of the world with just a few simple key strokes. I didn't realize how vulnerable we still are...
And I wouldn't doubt they could be instrumental to exacerbate an even more widespread worldwide economic collapse to usher in the CBDC.
I think it was a mistake on their part and I was not affected. I do think they didn't test what they were pushing on their end so it is ultimately their fault.
Looks like a test of some kind to me.

Yep, voll mitbekommen und entsprechend betroffen. Flüge komplett ausgefallen, Züge rappelvoll, Banken konnten keine SWIFT-Transaktionen durchführen etc etc. Wie war das nochmal mit "alles digitalisieren und nur noch Online abwickeln"?

It's extremely concerning to see such widespread disruption from a security update. Cybersecurity seems more crucial than ever. Especially with the way the world is advancing we need to address this quickly before too many people get affected
