Can't wait for the HPUD - 500 Hive power up

Hive is da best

As I alluded to in my last post, I really like hive despite me being away for some time. Sure there is always a lot of drama, problems, bad apples, and rarely even outright scams, but I would call this 'Crisis Resistant'. Not even joking, the fact that in the last 6 years (the time I have been on the chain) there has always been a place where small content creators can earn crypto, network, debate and start new projects, is a great thing on it's own.
Even though the steem to hive fork seems to be a rather painful memory for most people that were active at the time (I was taking one of my many breaks ^^), it is something we can be very proud of. Defending against a 50% attack by forking and making the fork thrive.

Why some people might not like hive

If you search for something like 'How to earn money on the internet' or 'How to earn Crypto without investing money' and arrived at hive, I think you actually found a good spot. However for 99.9% of Westeners hive alone can't substitute a real life occupation. And while I think that it is great that every Hivian has at least one huge passion besides hive, I think it would be neat if some day there could be more full-time Hivians.

I myself calculated around and thought when I started with Steem 'oh, if I scale a little and post just a little bit more frequently I could earn as much as I do in a (very) low salary job '. I soon realized that content creation can also lead to some sort of burnout, similar to a writers block I would guess, where you feel like you shared so much, that you only can repeat yourself and really dont have anything interesting to say. Also debating the same people over and over again can feel very circular and dull after some time.

I also think a huge problem for content creators is the reach. While I cant earn money with my small Youtube channel, I can potentially reach the whole world, on hive I cant even reach the amount of people that would fill a major city.

With all that said I have not found a more reliable way to earn crypto. All my Crypto is made from hive, and while I was certainly lucky to always swap my SBD into BTC in 2017 most investments I conciously made went south, so everything but hive rather lost me money.

I really like trading and I really like the Hive Engine, I know @alucian will write an angry paragraph when I post this in German, but I am on my way to put all of my Crypto on the HE. To clarify, I never traded professionally, but just buying Hive on Bittrex for all my BTC for 880 sats a Hive and swapping them on Beeswap for an average of 920 sats made me really happy.

The time has come to buy some Hive

I think this is a good time to exchange BTC for Hive, so I took about 0.024 of my 0.08 BTC and didn't swap them back into Swap.BTC giving me about 2500 Hive. I will power up 500 of them with this post, then 1000 on the 01.12. and 1000 on the 01.01.24.

With this I am pretty much out of of every other Crypto than Hive and BTC. There are still some garbage sites locking some of my funds, so I might have to swap/trade some more shitcoins like my 0.1 Eth. I will keep a handful of Swap.Doge, since I was really lucky buying some Doge for 22 sats back in the days.

Maybe I will even sell more BTC. Whenever I have to explain to people that Bitcoin is not a currency but something like digital gold, I vomit a little bit in my mouth.

A new Idle Game on hive?

I am a legit idle games veteran and always wanted to try a good pay2earn one, so I got really high hopes for Terracore. I heard there was some inflation problem with the main Token, but I hope that this will just mean I can buy in cheap.
