Too sweet Tropical Beer
Hello Hivians and all you beer lovers.
It's Saturday well actually it is Monday afternoon, which means it's two days past #beersaturday, but I had good intentions of posting then but well things happened lol!
I just finished a cup of coffee, and it reminded me of my years in Spain where I used to drink a cortado coffee and matching beer!
Anyway onto the beer at hand!
Time for a tasty Anti-Establishment Tropical Double IPA
It was one of my favourites, the 7.2% APR certainly helped! Being a favourite I always have a few cans of it in the fridge for days like Saturday!
As I poured it, it smelt sweet.
As a kid one of my favourite soft drinks was Lilt the totally Tropical taste!
Which is why I liked this Tropical Beer...
However, this time I found it too sweet!
Yep too sweet, and I struggled to finished the first drink.
The more I poured the more that sweet aroma wafted around the room!
Time to get that dinner in the oven!

Well that sweet beer threw me off my game, I only took pictures of before I put the pizza in the oven
It was billed as a pulled pork pizza, I had grabbed one of those 2 for a tenner deals. Well there was not much pulled pork, but then again there never is that much meat on these things, and I always tart them up for Mrs T.
The Beer ...
I have written about it before so will not dwell on that too much, it is a double IPA so does have a healthy kick to it.
it is an Aldi supermarket own-brand product, this line has historically been brewed for them by Williams Bros. Brewing Co.. They are a highly regarded independent Scottish brewery based in Alloa.
My Verdict
For some reason I found it too sweet this time! I did enjoy the pizza though!

The pizza looked like it would have been a treat. However would pass on the beer. Just not into the fruity flavored sweet stuff.
Yeah last time it was ok, but I guess I was sweet enough this time hehe!
I had a honey infused Polish beer one time that was just cloyingly sweet. It was almost like drinking pure honey. I finished the bottle, but it was rough.
Have you ever had mead, the old honey beer? Sounds like that!
I think maybe once. There was a town that had a meadery, but it closed before I had the chance to try it.

It was too sweet for me that day! Yeah Hive changed for me last year when my integrity was brought into question.
They have killed it and keep raping the rewards and wonder why it is the way it is.. Well they don't even wonder.
Sad but true my friend! I have to assume they arenāt all this stupid, I assume some know itās killing things but maybe they did the math long ago and this was always the ending. Maybe they thinking they can crash it to sub penny while taking out value entire way & think they can buy it up and try to artificially build it up again. Itās just speculation obviously but one day, years from now, I bet we will find out some things. When itās a sub penny dead chain, maybe hobbyists run nodes forever. But basicly dead meaning sub penny and not much of anything second layer building. Someone on the inside crowd will speak up.

Sweet? I've never had sweet beer! It must be awful: a sugar rush with that 7.2% alcohol content. Good thing you ate! A sugar-free hug for you, Ed.
Hehe it was more super fruity and tropical than sweet, but it has the sweety sickly taste š¤£
