Movie Review: Frozen 2010
I want to say hello to the Movies & TV Shows community here on Hive. I guess this is my first post here about movie reviews. I like to feature movies that are not too popular or underrated and I'll start off with Frozen. But as a general warning, this movie is not for the faint of heart as it contains some seriously disturbing moments.
If you Google "Frozen Movie" I'm pretty sure you'll get tons of information about the Disney film. But there's another Frozen movie that's been buried into obscurity by its more popular counterpart. Frozen 2010 is an American survival horror film set entirely in a ski resort. The theme is similar to other movies where the majority of the movie revolves around particular areas and the characters are thrown into harrowing ordeals.
And I think that's all I can say without going into spoiler territory so I better put a spoiler warning here.

Movie Review
The plot of Frozen is simply this: Three young tourists, two guys and a girl, make a last-minute ride to the ski lift before it closes. With the false assumption that they already skied down the slope, the operator shut down the mechanism and they were left hanging high in the lift chair. They tried to wait out the snowstorm but it became apparent that no one would rescue them for days. At this point, you can feel the anxiety and helplessness of the characters as they have no other option but to wait.
The next scene is disturbing so let me just put a cute wolf pup here. source
Finally, one of them tried to jump down, hoping that the snow would break his fall and he could call for help. And this is probably the most dreadful part of the movie for me. The guy makes a bad landing and ends up with broken legs. He was helpless as wolves began to approach him and started to attack. The two remaining survivors in the chair could only cry as their friend shrieked in agony as the wolves tore him apart.
A few hours after that, desperation made the other guy attempt to climb down as well. He successfully made it down and was also confronted by the wolves. He tried to ward them off and escaped with a snowboard, promising the last survivor that he would come back with help. At this point, the audience is left with the female survivor anxiously waiting and losing hope that his friend will return.

She finally descends and suffers a leg injury in the process. She limps her way down the mountain and finds the second survivor being eaten by the wolves. This was the reason why no help came her way. And with the wolves occupied with their prey, she manages to reach safety.
Budget constraints might be a big factor as to why the setting of Frozen was taken in one place. However, these types of movies are typically effective in conveying dread to the viewers. You can see yourself being in their situation and wondering what would could have done differently. It's one of those films that I would watch one time and never dare to do so ever again. Even as I was doing this post, I just recalled the scenes from my memory as I do not want to revisit the movie. But it's worth a watch if you're into survival horror. It's a hidden gem buried under ten feet of Disney snow.

It's not the Frozen that everyone knows haha I watched this movie a while ago and it's really good. Because of an oversight and a recklessness, everything happened, there were two big threats: the wolves and the extreme cold 😲
The scene of the wolf pack was the most shocking because it is something that could easily happen 👀
Yes. Being chowed by wolves is not a pretty way to go.
haha I was going to review this film just today. It's very good at entertaining
