Today is a good day to think about the mental health of fathers.
The idea is often spread that men are mainly rational beings, capable of withstanding high loads of pressure without this implying an emotional overflow. They are seen as people more in charge of doing than feeling, but the truth is that this is far from reality. Socially most of them have learned to hide their emotions, yes, but this does not mean that they are completely disconnected from them. On the contrary, they feel very much what is going on around them, in their families, and sometimes they carry burdens, commitments and responsibilities in complete silence. They feel good about taking on protective and nurturing roles but sometimes they also need to feel cared for and protected.
I have noticed that dads today don't just want to work, produce and provide, roles and tasks with which they have been primarily associated. Dads also want to be present in their homes, they want to be part of their children's growth and development, and they want to offer them a space of containment and emotional support. Dads also want to be seen for who they are, not just for what they do.
If you have a dad in your life, ask him how he feels, tell him and show him how much you love him. If you are a dad reading me, remember that it is just as important to take care of others as it is to take care of yourself. The burden is less of a burden when it is shared.

To all the dads on your day, Happy Fathers Day! Especially congratulations to my dad, for his presence, dedication, teachings, support, patience and the love he gives me every day. I love you a world @rafaelaquino
