Beer Tasting: Green Gold Logist and Avery IPA

Hello beer tasters! 🍻

How are you? Today is Hive Power Up Day (HPUD), the seventh this year. You can do a power-up whenever you want, but on the first day of every month, you get certain benefits.
And #beersaturday, 313 in a row.
Otherwise, it's raining here. Nothing special, a summer downpour, just right to drench my field and vegetables. So I'm waiting for the downpour to pass, beer in hand, of course :)

Today I have one Slovenian pale ale and one American IPA in front of me, they'll be chilling in the fridge for a few minutes more, and then - action :) 😃

First the one with less alcohol.

🍻 😎 🍻

Green Gold Logist Pale Ale

Brewed by Green Gold Brewing, Šempeter v Savinjski dolini, Slovenia.
Can, 0.33 l, alcohol 5.5% ABV, 30 IBU.
It's an APA, American Pale Ale style, it's an average hopped pale ale, refreshing, and balanced.

What do the Master Brewers say?

Styrian Wolf hopped pale ale brewed for Pišek Bar from Celje. Fruity, tons of tropical fruits and very drinkable!

Let's taste this.

As soon as I opened the can, it smelled very hoppy. It's hazy gold color with an average white head. The first sip goes smoothly down the throat, there is a bitterness of hops that grows, but it stops in time so that it is not too bitter, there are malt and citrus notes in the background.
The hop bitterness lingers in the aftertaste for some time.

A very refreshing and drinkable beer, just right for this time of summer. Balanced flavours, nothing too much or too little. I'm surprised, given the modest appearance of the can. I know that Green Gold brews first-class beers, but this one, brewed for a bar (Pišek Bar, Celje, very famous for breakfasts) is also very good.
It's also available in local shops (Lidl, Hofer), maybe a bit too expensive (€2.5), regardless, a can will end up in my fridge.

🍻 😎 🍻

No beer, no meme, what's that?

I've already posted in @Ecency Waves, that it's Colorado potato beetle larvae that have attacked my potatoes and I had to take action. I sprayed it with some spray that stinks and it seems to be true, they have all fled and my potatoes are growing nicely.

The fact that the next beer is from Colorado is pure coincidence :) but really.

🍻 😎 🍻

Avery IPA

Brewed by Avery Brewing Company, Nautilus Ct, Boulder, Colorado, United States.
Can, 0.355 l, alcohol 6.5% ABV, 69 IBU.
It's IPA, India Pale Ale beer, hoppy and bitter with fruit notes.

What do the Master Brewers say?

Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!
Radiates with the crisp, floral, and resinous hoppiness of six different hop varieties, supported by a malty backbone and a dry finish. As the very first packaged IPA in the state of Colorado, this true Colorado IPA comes alive with a mountain of citrusy hops. We modernized it by dry-hopping with Idaho 7 and Simcoe hops. The result is a fresh and piney body with aromas of juicy citrus, all balanced by the subtle caramel sweetness of the malts. Hop Freaks Unite!

Ugh, a lot of details, Colorado IPA, welcome to the #beertasting!

The beer is cloudy golden in color, the head is medium and creamy. It smells of hops. It goes down the throat smoothly, the bitterness of the hops dominates the palate, followed by citrus aromas and I also taste some herbs.

In the aftertaste, the citrus and herbs disappear, but the hop bitterness lingers for a while.

A juicy, tasty, and refreshing beer! I got it from the Famila store in Trieste, very reasonable price for this kind of beer (€1.69). We go there at least once every two months to stock up because almost everything is cheaper than in Slovenia, so there will be a few more cans ending up in my fridge.

To sum up today's #beertasting I have just one word - excellent! I'm only sorry because I only have one of each, I could easily do it again.

🍻 😎 🍻

And what am I listening to as I write this and taste the beers? Something from my last #newtunes post. Legends. But I'm not ready to die yet :)
