Overview of Shanky Town
Shanky Town, an action packed #nollywood drama series of six episodes that explore the hard life of sex workers, gang wars and leaders and corrupt politicians in Nigeria especially in Lagos.

The Plot
It started with a flashback of what happened at a town called Shangisha. A once peaceful community of fishermen, traders and farmers, was ruptured with series of bomb explosion and gun battle between Warring armed groups struggling for supremecy and power. Many people were maimed, injured and killed. A focus was on mother with her twin daughters as they woke up and kneel down to pray. Their door was break up! Evil dreaded man appeared and requested for everything good with them. As the mother tries to explain to the man that they are poor and does not have anything to give, which is obvious as there is no good furniture or things at their home. The evil man laughed so loud and assured the mother that she have what that will make him happy! A help came as their neighbor hit the man at the head and lead them to escape! When they reached at the point of exit, a boat at the adjacent river, that evil leader emerged again and shot the neighbor and one of the daughter down! The mother and one of the daughter escape via the river. But they were adopted by another gang and take to Shanky Town!

In Shanky Town, there is a ruthless gang leader known as Scar(Chidi Mokeme), who run the town and he is the king of the town where prostitution, armed robbery, drug dealings and ritualists is common. Scar makes life hard for them as he provides security for them with the aid of his gangs. Most of the inhabitants are sex workers that plied their nefarious trade within the city and brings seventy percent of their money to Scar. To be free, The sex worker have to pay huge money to Scar as he pleased.

Scar is also loyal to numerous corrupt politicians in Lagos as they keep sending their representative to get tributes from him. Most prominently, The Accountant(Ali Nuhu) works with Chief Fernandez, a corrupt politician who wants to be the Governor of Lagos State.

Jackie(Mercy Eke) a sex worker celebrates her freedom with a party and desires happily to leave the town. At the party, she proposed to her friend and another sex worker named Shalewa(Nancy Isime) to get her freedom too. Later, Shalewa visited Scar with money for her freedom. After collecting the money, Scar told her that she will need to pay 15 million naria. Shalewa does not have of kind of money but desires freedom urgently.

Another character is a convict who is recently released. She was caught with drugs and charged to court. Her name is Inem(Ini Edo) was former queen at the town.

A prominent position taken by another sex worker known as Mama(Nse Ekpe-Etim), who loved her position and get jealous and threatened because of coming back of Inem.

Jackie was killed when Baba Ibeji, the driver secretly leaked her location to Scar and her body parts butchered by Mama for ritualists.

Chief Fernandez wanted Scar to close the brothel where the sex workers are because of his political ambitions. Scar was not happy but was kidnapped by Dame Dobota(Shaffy Bello), a political rival of Chief Fernandez. She gave Scar better deals and gifts. Scar promised her, Chief Fernandez source of power, his ring.

With the help of Aunty T(Shola Shobowale), Scar used Shalewa to spelled Chief Fernandez's Son, Femi, Who was used together with the ring to lure Chief Fernandez to Dame's hideout and war raged with many casualties.

In the subsequent scenes, Scar was badly injured and killed by sex workers as they sliced him open repeatedly and shouting freedom! Chief Fernandez was shamed when he displayed his atrocities towards Inem during political campaign. Later, Inem was exposed as an undercover working with the authorities. She was that twin sister, that survived with her mother at the flashback and decided to liberate the girls, arrest the cuplrits and cleanses the town.
