Beer Saturday : Untitled Art Beer Beer American Pilsner
My share for the #beersaturday Saturday, as hosted by @detlev . Today's beer was inspired by a thirst for a pilsner. A good pilsner, that is. One of my favorite beers I ever homebrewed was a pilsner. My friend and I used soft water/RO water mixed with hard water; we followed it up with a proper malt bill and hop profile, and yum...one of my favorites. So I grabbed a four pack of this beer for tonight's grilling / backyard adventure.
Not too heavy for an afternoon beer. For a pilsner, it's not bad. The water isn't quite as soft as I like them (similar to a Czechvar or Urquell), but its solid. It also doesn't have that horrifying corn syrup taste that exists in most American pilsners. You don't feel like you are sucking on a piece of feed corn after every swig (I can't stand that after taste).
While enjoying this beer, we managed to put together a new "bug hotel" for Hattie...
Then we decided to grill up bratwursts and veggie kabobs for dinner. This was our first bratwurst grill out this year (I think, that is). The beer tasted great as I got the grill ready...
Then I cracked #2 and enjoyed the sunshine and backyard...and the smell of brats and veggies on the charcoal...
The brats were great, and the hot dogs I had to finish up. What a perfect end to a long day of Hattie duty...
