Play With Words: Greediness Of Nun Candace

Nun Candsce was standing by the window of her room in the temple and was enjoying the beams of sunlight hitting her face. The green view of the garden and the singing of the birds evoked for her the memories of last night, the moments when she walked hand in hand with the monk Baruch among the trees of the forest behind the temple and the warmth of Baruch's existence was transferred to her body.

As she was immersed in her thoughts, a familiar voice said from behind her:
"Candace."

Candace turned to see Baruch and smiled happily.
"Monk Baruch, what made you come here?"

Baruch gave her one of his charming smiles and said:
"I wanted to come here personally to hand over your entitlement..."

He took out a bag full of money from his coat pocket and put it in Candice's hands.
"And thank you for the extra service you did."

The color drained from Candice's face.
"Please don't talk about it here."

Baruch said with a calm voice.
"Don't worry, no one's around right now. I've sent everyone after Black Pea."

And then he smiled mischievously and continued:
"I was supposed to remunerate you."

And he took out a golden ring with a red diamond from his pocket and pointed it at Candiace. Candice's eyes sparkled with delight, she stared at the ring for a moment and then took it from Baruch's hand.

"Now that dead lady's ring is yours, and soon the rest of her possessions will be yours."

Candace said in an excited voice.
"Soon I will leave the temple and become Lady Arundel."

Candace stood among the ranks of nuns, her eyes closed and her hands clasped in prayer, but she was actually imagining her wedding day with Baruch. The two of them danced with each other in that magnificent mansion and music accompanied them.

At that moment, someone tapped her on the shoulder, and when Candace turned around and saw a muscular inspector nun, she gasped and stammered:
"Do you have anything to do with me?"

"Yes, please come out with me."

Sweating with fear, Candace walked out of the hall with her and saw several other inspector nuns standing in front of the door. Muscular inspector said to them:
"Arrest Nun Candace."

The nuns immediately came to Candace and grabbed her arms tightly. Candace began to struggle and scream.
"Let me go, let me go, I didn't do anything wrong."

The muscular nun said angrily:
"Keep your voice down. You must not shout in this holy place."

But Candice continued to scream. The muscular nun came forward and pounded her hard in the mouth. One of Candace's teeth broke and blood flowed from her mouth, and that's how she fell silent.

The inspectors led her to the interrogation room, and Candace thought she saw the late Lady Arundel behind one of the windows, staring at her with a spiteful look. She knew that there was no escape for her and soon the rope would be wrapped around her neck.
