HiveBr's first AMA of 2024 took place this Wednesday and we are already in edition 27. This week there was no Inleo AMA so little was said about the platform, but a curiosity is that in the Labs there is now a list with all users premium. Therefore, this week's conversation focuses on some topics such as: HiveFest, Bitcoin and Hive in Spaces.

About the HiveBR community, the news is that we have a suggestion so that the buyback value of 1 HBR is 0.3 Hive. There are still a few votes left to become a proposal, take a look at the discord and see if you agree or not.

Where will HiveFest be?

The last HiveFest was in Mexico and with the next HiveFest this year many are wondering where it will be, which region, country? It would be interesting to go somewhere where the Hive community is active, but at the same time it is an easily accessible and touristic place so that more people decide to participate.

Some options were as follows: If it is in South America, the biggest bets are to be in Brazil since it is well known and a great tourist spot or in Argentina since Milei's liberal policies are in favor of Crypto. However, many think it is more likely to happen in Europe, but at the same time it would be interesting if it were somewhere that has a strong Hive community like Cuba, or even where Hive projects are active.

Web3 Global Talks is a conversation in which projects talk about news and answer any questions related to the crypto scenario and how they have been dealing with it. This debate takes place on Twitter Space and has been reaching more and more people with each edition.

What's new is that Hive has been sponsoring the latest editions this past week and has been using the space to interact with other projects and present a little bit of Hive to them and to the users who listen to the conversation. This way, new users learn about hive and we increase our user base. It is also worth mentioning that the co-host provided by the hiveblocks representative is very good, asking questions at the right time and taking into account the area of activity of each project to contextualize the questions.

I like this space because it helps you get a general overview of the situation as the questions are asked based on what is happening and the participants come from different areas, creating an environment rich in information. This week, I participated in about 2 to 3 spaces and it was clear that the different projects are very optimistic about Crypto and the approval of the Bitcoin ETF.

Questions about Bitcoin

After the approval of the ETF, everyone turned to Bitcoin, the best-known crypto that managed to pierce the bubble, appearing in newspapers, podcasts, among others. However, a question arose: What if we had a blockchain where the token value was better, more economical and more energy efficient?

Currently, we have several blockchains that make transactions faster and cheaper than Bitcoin, and also carry out more things like smart contracts and all of this with less energy consumption. However, it seems that none of this matters, because as Bitcoin has been on the market for a long time, it has already proven itself and, above all, has created a community that believes in it and has also entered a period of scarcity in which fewer and fewer tokens are mined, which brings more value to it. So, even if he is energetically worse, the trust that people have in him makes him number 1.

This trust brings to Bitcoin a view of a store of value and not much use, but in my opinion use should be much more important. If we have a crypto that makes fast transactions, has smart contracts, is efficient with energy expenditure and still has low or no gas fees, it has the potential to gain in the long term.

A última HiveFest foi no México e com a próxima HiveFest nesse ano muitos se perguntam aonde será, qual região, país? Seria interessante ir em algum local onde a comunidade da Hive seja ativa, mas ao mesmo tempo seja um local de fácil acesso e turistico para que mais pessoas decidam participar.

Algumas opções foram as seguintes: Se for na America do Sul, as maiores apostas é ser no Brasil já que é bem conhecido e um grande ponto turistico ou na Argentina já que as políticas liberais do Milei são a favor de Crypto. Entretanto, muitos acham que seja mais provável que aconteça na europa, mas ao mesmo tempo seria interssante se fosse em algum local que tenha uma comunidade forte da hive como Cuba, ou ainda onde os projetos da Hive estejam ativos.

Web3 Global Talks é uma conversa em que projetos falam das novidades e respondem alguma dúvida relacionado ao cenário de crypto e como eles vem lidando com isso. Esse debate acontece no Space do Twitter e vem alcançando cada vez mais pessoas a cada edição.

A novidade está que a Hive vem patrocinando as últimas edições nessa útlima semana e vem usando o espaço para interagir com outros projetos e apresentar um pouco da hive para eles e para os usuários que escutam a conversa. Assim, novos usuários ficam sabendo da hive e aumentamos a nossa base de usuários. Ainda, vale mencionar que o co-host feito pela representante da hiveblocks é muito bom, fazendo perguntas na hora certa e levando em consideração a àrea de atuação de cada projeto para contextualizar as perguntas.

Eu gosto desse space porque ele te ajuda a ter um panorama geral de como está o cenário já que as perguntas são feitas com base no que está acontecendo e os participantes são de diversas áreas, criando um ambiente rico em informações. Essa semana, eu participei de uns 2 à 3 spaces e ficou claro que os diversos projetos estão bem otimistas com Crypto e a aprovação do ETF do Bitcoin.

Dúvidas sobre o Bitcoin

Depois da aprovação do ETF todos se voltaram para o Bitcoin, a crypto que é mais conhecida e que conseguiu furar a bolha, chegando em jornais, podcasts, entre outros. Entretanto, uma pergunta surgiu: E se tivêssemos uma blockchain em que o valor do token fosse melhor, mais econômico e mais eficiênte energeticamente?

Atualmente, temos diversas blockchains que fazem transações mais rápidas e mais baratas do que o Bitcoin, e ainda, realiza mais coisas como smart contracts e tudo isso com um consumo menos de Energia. Entretanto, parece que nada disso importa, porque como o Bitcoin já está no mercado a um bom tempo, ele já se provou e principalmente já criou uma comunidade que acredita nele e também entrou no período de escassez em que cada vez menos tokens são minerados, o que traz mais valor à ele. Assim, mesmo que ele seja energéticamente pior, pela confiança que as pessoas tem nele faz com que seja o número 1.

Essa confiança traz ao Bitcoin uma visão de reserva de valor e não muito de uso, mas na minha opinião o uso deveria ser muito mais importante. Se temos uma crypto que faz transações rápidas, tenha smart contracts, seja eficiente com o gasto de energia e ainda tenha baixas taxas de gás ou nenhuma, ela tem potencial de ganhar no longo prazo.
