Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - A Win After Many Losses

Hi friends of the hive community, this is my entry to the splinterlands social challenge for this week. I will be describing one of my battles I fought during the week. As a quest to make it out of the bronze league, I have been trying hard to get over the line but due to not having many strong cards, it has been harder. This battle however, made me feel good after losing some battles.

Ruleset and Its Meaning

This ruleset is the wands out ruleset which means that only monsters with magic may be used in the battle.

Summoner and Team Choices

I chose this water summoner to grant my cards +1 speed and +1 shield. I have on a few occasions lost in rulesets like this one because my cards are slower than my opponents.

My opponent brought the same summoner I brought.

Round 1

The summoner buffs took effect giving all cards +1 shield and +1 speed. My opponent's first card attacked my first card and my card also attacked. Seeing we both had the same first cards (Djinn Oshanus), we did the same damage to each other which was a reduction of 1 health.

My fifth card attacked my opponent's last card and my second card attacked my opponent's first card. My opponent's third card attacked my first and did no damage. My last card, my opponent's last card and my third cards did no damages too. My fourth card then attacked my opponent's first and the blast did a damage of 1 health reduction to my opponent's second card. My opponent's second card which was Riverboat Captain did the same damage.

Round 2

My opponent's first card and my first card did the same damages and my fifth card killed my opponent's last card. My second card attacked my opponent's first card and both our last cards did no damage.

Our Riverboat Captains attacked after each other and did the same damages.

Round 3

My first card attacked first this time and my opponent's first card attacked mine. My second card killed my opponent's first card and my fifth card attacked my opponent's last card.
