Absurd Thinking... .:. #MyHiveGoals 2023

Sometimes (or better say many times), I got inspired by some comment to create a post and share my point of view... Also many times, I create a DRAFT post with a general idea about what I want to write, and come back later to prepare the post itself... As the number of ideas is growing much faster than my free time to write complete posts, my drafts are growing day by day and some of the topics become obsolete... But not this one... This one is forever valid... 😃

The idea of getting rich quick... It was 23 days ago when I published a post named Extreme Differences, where my friend @relf87 left a comment that made me think about absurd thinking of humans...

What "triggered" me in this comment is this:

most people just want to know if it can make them rich overnight, rather than understand how things work, and enjoy the learning process.

It is indeed like that... Most people are searching for get-rich-quick schemes whole their lives! Not just in crypto, but everywhere... The irony is that instead of searching for a job that they like, they finish doing something they don't like! Just because they try new, interesting things with the idea of earning millions in a year or two (or less), dropping those attempts after a few days... Missing the part that @relf87 pointed out... enjoy the learning process!

I would like to ask one question these get-rich-quick people... Why don't you expect to get rich by doing your ordinary job and you DO expect that from doing some crypto project/investment? What's the difference? You can work in crypto and consider it as a job, too... and lower your get-rich-quick expectations...

I do understand that there were people who got rich from crypto as they were at the right place at the right time, but that happened in other "industries" too... If you discovered oil in your backyard, if you created your first webshop before anyone else, if you bought Apple stocks early, etc. But those examples are rare stories, and the majority of the people are doing things in the harder way... So, why wouldn't you try to do the same, and pick the job that you LIKE, and make it more fun? In that way, the get-rich-slow method doesn't look that bad, you will want to last it longer, as you LIKE the process!

Btw. I'm so happy that I have found that background image at Canva as it fits perfectly with my way of thinking... Time is always more important than money...

Okay, now I can come back to the #MyHiveGoals part of this mix post! As usual, in the beginning, let's check out HiveStats...

I wasn't too active online in the last 2 weeks as I was in Krakow for 5 days... That was the reason why I missed last week's #MyHiveGoals report too... But, during my stay, I was doing curation for @Ourpick and creating posts for it... If I stop, it would be hard to restart my engines... 😃

So, during the last 2 weeks, I have accumulated 481 HivePower, so if I split that with 2, it will be around 240 HP per week! Again, inside the weekly margins that I put to myself!

"Only" 1680HP more to get to the yearly goal!

My LEO Power goal is chugging up slowly, but it is what it is... I don't plan to buy the tokens, yet and will stick to my previous idea... On the other side, I'm staking my author and curation rewards...

In the last 2 weeks, I have staked only 92 LEO tokens... But, there is a bright side to it... As the rebranded LEO Finance (Now InLEO) is accepting all kinds of content, I will be able to post all my content with the LEO tag... Until now, I was trying to stick to the "rules" and post only "finance" posts to it... That should help in faster token accumulation!

GAMING GOALS - Flexible Goals

It was a bit tricky to play the Rising Star game on the road, but I was doing a lot of longer missions as there was no chance to do short ones and have fun with other participants at HiveBeeCon... The other problem was opening packs on the regular schedule that I made a few months ago... Somehow, I managed to do my 24+12+24 packs per week with moving days of the week for openings... 😃

So, I didn't lose my pace during the last 2 weeks... In total, I have added 350 cards to my collection, which is 175 cards per week... The same number as previous weeks before my trip! I hit the 13K mark and the next one is 14K!

The GLX tokens value/price went down significantly... The staking rewards are close to the finish and there is a chance that we see some kind of price bounce... But, I have to admit that I was tempted more than once to buy some of those cheap tokens... And maybe I will... I reached my yearly goal a long time ago, but some opportunities have to be used... :)

During the last 2 weeks, I have accumulated 4500 GLX tokens in total, which makes 2250 tokens per week... It means that I have accumulated more than before! Interesting...

Time rich, cash poor. Time poor, cash rich... Quite often people are in these categories too. I guess finding the right balance is the important thing to try and do.

This is very good growth. That's almost 1000 Hive per month. This is probably several thousand dollars in the future (taking into account compound interest). This is the path to wealth.

What is interesting, I never thought about it in that way... lol... Tbh, I didn't even think about numbers, but when you say it like that, those are some nice numbers... And just 4 years ago, I was adding 1 HIVE on top of another HIVE token...

There were also other opportunities to be rich such as investing in stock markets, gold, silver; buying a real estate after the pandemic. I think it is about doing the right step at the right time. However, I can say that the Gen Z prefer working less and earning much more, this might lead the perceptive of being quick rich.

I wouldn't say that Gen Z are the only ones who are thinking in that way... The get-rich-quick schemes and way of thinking have existed for ages... Also, I would also like to work less and earn more, but I'm aware that it's not the way to be rich (money)... I would rather pick the "wealth" way of having more time... :)

I think everything requires time and I don't think money comes easily. It requires work and anyone can find an opportunity if there is something that others want.

You may even be surprised that a lot of people are not interested in most projects and all
If it cannot make them rich overnight, they won't want to engage in it
They don't want to follow any process at all even though it is little

It seems that if you are consistent like this, you will reach your goals. I haven't calculated the exact number, but I'm sure you will reach it with your curation income. Good luck, man.

HIVE is simple... You just have to be consistent, provide value to others (and the platform), and engage with your friends! Easy peasy...

I think it mostly boils down on time. A lot of people cannot wait. They just want to get the money as fast as possible, even if they know they'll eventually get it by trying the much more structural process. Some people cannot wait. Sometimes waiting can just be too long for them.

Yeah, it is all about time and priorities... It's always better to spend your time watching some stupid reality show on a TV all day, than research and invest your time to learn new things... :)

Hehe thanks for the mention! Yeah it's interesting how people (who are mostly salaried workers) are with monthly payouts and yet have different expectations when it comes to other stuff like investments.

That's right, the get rich quick schemes are very rare in any field but it seems that many people believe that they will achieve it with cryptocurrencies.

I share your vision, do what we like and enjoy the process. Because another thing that happens with the get rich quick scheme is that most of the time what comes quick, can go quick as well;)

I've seen some posts from HiveBeeCon and it looks like you all had a great time, good that you were able to go and still increase your HP by 240 each week, not bad at all.

That's right, the get rich quick schemes are very rare in any field but it seems that many people believe that they will achieve it with cryptocurrencies.

I would say that we can compare them with lottery winners... The probability of winning is so small, but people still think that they will be the ONE who will win...

Also agree with the "winning"... Easy come, easy go... If you get something for free, you don't appreciate it enough, and finish losing it... or spending in our case... When you put your sweat and tears, it is much more appreciated and we tend to be more responsible with it...

HiveBeeCon was a lot of fun! I hope I will be able to attend future ones! So many great people there! We were just missing you! :)
