Classics found in a small town.

I forgot to show you this lovely find on our recent visit to a small town on the west coast of the Cape Province in South Africa.

We entered to ask for directions and the sales lady gave me permission to take photos.

This was during our visit to the small historical town of Hopefield. A town, bursting at the seams with friendly people and we really enjoyed our visit. A pity that it was only two days, but we will make up for it and go and explore the entire region when we have many more days. Some of you might remember, that we also visited the wonderful Simply Bee shops in the town, and a few other interesting places. I still have to show you Copper Kettle and the views from the cottage that we stayed in for the two nights.
But for now, here are some real classics and a drive through history.

I forgot the name of this old car, or I might have written it down and placed it in my file 13 :)

This is a real arty reception area with many historical things on show.

And there we have the famous VW Beetle in its full original glory.

A classic Chevrolet on show.

I know this one below, as it is a 1942 Ford Mercury.

This one is a Chevrolet Kommando.

I know the Puch, but it's the first time for me to see this little Passola.

There were a few other cars, but I didn't want to overstay my welcome. So, we thanked the lady and we left. One can never know what treasures one can find during the exploration of small historical towns, and we have many such little towns over here. As I've said before, we will try our best to explore as many of them as we can. So strange to walk into previous eras, as many of the towns still have the things of old on show. Local farmers are also supporting the towns and vegetables and other stuff come directly from these farms. Unfortunately, we were not there over a weekend, so we were not able to experience their weekend farmer's market.
But who knows what the future holds, and we sincerely hope that our exploration dream will materialize.

I hope you have enjoyed the trip and the pictures.
