Mariela, estaba sentada con su madre Ana y su hermana Camila, en la mesa de la cocina, estaban comenzando a almorzar y tenían una conversación muy interesante, ya que Camila, la menor de las hermanas que tiene 12 años, había visto un programa en la televisión sobre los Anunnakis y los Sumerios, donde planteaban que el origen del mundo no venía de Dios, sino de los extraterrestres.

Mariela, la hermana mayor de 17 años, había hecho sopas de lenteja, arroz, ensalada de berro, croquetas de pollo y platanos dulces para el almuerzo. Ella se había esmerado en hacer la comida para consentir a su madre, quien siendo viuda tenía que trabajar, mantener la casa y las niñas sola, por lo que Mariela, muy consciente de la situación, le ayudaba en todo lo referente a las tareas de la casa junto con su hermana y la consentía a Ana, junto con su hermana cada vez que podía.

Ana estaba disfrutando de su casa y de sus hijas, tenía varios días libres por los feriados de la Semana Santa y había decidido pasarlo con sus hijas descansando y paseando por la ciudad, la cual estaba menos llena que de costumbre, debido a que muchas personas se iban de la ciudad en estos días.

Ana, Camila y Mariela, estaban muy entusiasmadas con la conversación mientras comían. Ana, se maravillaba por la inventiva de su hija menor, sin embargo, siendo una mujer cristiana y habiendo tenido una madre muy religiosa, sostenía su posición de que el mundo había sido creado por Dios como decía la iglesia.

Cuándo Camila, le preguntó a Mariela que pensaba, esta no contestó en un principio, sino que se puso a servir los vasos con limonada que ya se habían vaciado en el almuerzo; sin embargo, pensó para sí misma, si le doy la razón a mi mamá Camila se va a molestar, si le doy la razón a Camila, tal vez mi mamá se moleste. Pero mientras pensaba, ambas le volvieron a preguntar.

Mariela decidió responder y lo hizo de la siguiente manera, “Bueno, yo en realidad no conozco mucho sobre el tema de los Anunnakis, si acaso he visto uno que otro programa en History Channel donde los nombran”. Mientras Mariela decía esto, en la cara de Ana, se dibujaba una sonrisa, pero Mariela, no había terminado y continúo de la siguiente manera; “Por otro lado, no creo que Dios haya creado un universo tan grande, lleno de planetas y estrellas, para que nosotros seamos los únicos que vivamos en él, creo que eso sería un gran desperdicio de espacio”.

Una vez que Mariela dijo esto encendió la televisión, y en ese momento estaba el noticiero de mediodía, cuando volvió a sentarse en la mesa, el presentador del noticiero dijo con un tono de voz muy serio y con cara de preocupación, “Pues si, estimados televidentes, la respuesta de si estamos o no solos en el universo, ha sido contestada en estos momentos”.

Camila, Ana y Mariela, se vieron a la cara unas a otras con rostro de sorpresa, mientra que en la televisión aparecía una imagen de la Estación Espacial Internacional, y se escuchaba al presentador dando todos los datos técnicos de la distancia a la que estaba el tamaño y la tripulación de la misma, en ese momento el presentador dijo en vivo, ya tenemos conexión con la Estación Espacial Internacional y comenzó a verse, una enorme nave espacial, que estaba siendo filmada desde de una de las ventanas de la Estación Internacional.

Mariela tomó el control remoto del televisor y cambio del canal de noticias locales al canal de CNN internacional y las imágenes eran las mismas, puso la BBC e igual, lo mismo en los otros canales, Ana buscó su teléfono y estaban llegando imágenes, noticias y textos referentes a la nave espacial que estaba pasando al lado de la Estación Espacial Internacional, Ana estaba aterrada, decía que como era posible que eso pasara en plena Semana Santa y pedía a Dios, Mariela estaba sentada, con la boca abierta por el asombro viendo la TV.

Mientras que Camila, seguía comiendo su plato de lentejas y les decía a su mamá y hermana, “Bueno, ya nos respondieron la pregunta, es obvio que no estamos solos en el universo, Dios no nos creó a nosotros únicamente y los Anunnakis si existen, funciona para mí, así que caso cerrado.” Dijo Camila, mientras tomaba un trago de limonada, ante la mirada atónita de su madre y hermana.

Ana was enjoying her home and her daughters, she had several days off due to the Easter holidays and had decided to spend it with her daughters resting and walking around the city, which was less crowded than usual, due to the fact that many people were leaving the city during these days.

Ana, Camila and Mariela were very enthusiastic about the conversation while they ate. Ana marveled at her youngest daughter's inventiveness, however, being a Christian woman and having had a very religious mother, she maintained her position that the world was created by God as the church said.

When Camila asked Mariela what she thought, Mariela did not answer at first, but started to pour the glasses of lemonade that had already been emptied at lunch; however, she thought to herself, if I agree with my mother, Camila will be upset, if I agree with Camila, maybe my mother will be upset. But while she was thinking, they both asked her again.

Mariela decided to answer and she did it in the following way, "Well, I don't really know much about the Anunnaki, if anything I have seen one or another program on History Channel where they name them". While Mariela was saying this, a smile appeared on Ana's face, but Mariela was not finished and continued as follows; "On the other hand, I don't believe that God created such a big universe, full of planets and stars, for us to be the only ones living in it, I think that would be a big waste of space".

Once Mariela said this she turned on the television, and at that moment the noon news was on, when she sat back down at the table, the news anchor said with a very serious tone of voice and with a worried face, "Well yes, dear viewers, the answer of whether or not we are alone in the universe, has been answered at this moment".

Camila, Ana and Mariela, looked at each other's faces with a surprised face, while on the television appeared an image of the International Space Station, and the presenter was heard giving all the technical data of the distance to which was the size and crew of the same, at that moment the presenter said live, we already have connection with the International Space Station and began to be seen, a huge spacecraft, which was being filmed from one of the windows of the International Station.

Mariela took the remote control of the TV and changed from the local news channel to the CNN international channel and the images were the same, she turned on BBC and the same, the same on the other channels, Ana looked for her phone and images, news and texts were arriving referring to the spaceship that was passing next to the International Space Station, Ana was terrified, she said that it was possible that this was happening in the middle of Holy Week and asked God, Mariela was sitting, with her mouth open in amazement watching the TV.

While Camila, was still eating her plate of lentils and said to her mom and sister, "Well, they already answered the question, it is obvious that we are not alone in the universe, God did not create us alone and the Anunnakis if they exist, it works for me, so case closed." Said Camila, as she took a sip of lemonade, to the stunned look of her mother and sister.
