Nick Rivera Caminero, better known as Nicky Jam, is recognized worldwide as a pioneer of urban Latin music. At age 11 he recorded his first album, Diferente a Los Demás. Nicky Jam quickly rose to the top of his genre with radio hits such as 'Yo No Soy Tu Marido', 'Me Voy Pa'l Party', 'Fiel A Tu Piel' and 'La Combi Completa'. He toured the world and became one of the first international stars of urban Latin music. His life took a 180 degree turn while he continued to enjoy his achievements.

He moved to Colombia to revive his career. In 2012, he produced a low-budget music video that garnered over 15 million views on YouTube. In 2013, they debuted a new look and came back stronger than ever. He had five radio hits, including "Piensas en Mí", "Curiosidad", "Juegos Prohibidos" and "Voy a Berber", while "Travesuras" was a worldwide hit. At the time, "Travesuras" became Nicki's first international hit in a decade, peaking at number four on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart.

His social network grew by 3,000% at the end of 2014, making him one of the most influential and respected urban music artists in Latin America. In 2015, Nicky Jam teamed up with Enrique Iglesias to release his single "El Perdón", which remains internationally acclaimed to this day. "El Perdón" spent 30 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart (the second-longest single in Billboard history). In 2016, Nicki released "Hasta el Amanecer," which was also the biggest Latin song of the year. The single spent 18 weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart, making it the longest-running song of 2016. The official music video achieved 100 million views in its first month, averaging over 3 million visits per day.

The hottest Latin songs of 2016 even include Nicki Jam's "Hasta el Amanecer." It also topped Billboard's "Latin Airplay", "Latin Pop Airplay", "Latin Rhythm Airplay", "Latin Rhythm", "Digital Song Sales" and "Latin Digital Song" charts. 2017 was a big year for Nicki Jam, making her Hollywood big screen debut with Vin Diesel's XXX: The Return of Sander Cage, her hit single "El Amante" and Phoenix's first album in 10 years.
