Shadow Detective (Kdrama): Unmask the mysterious blackmailer.

Back in the day, Kdramas was considered synonymous with romance and Lovey-dovey displays. That has been their selling point and this is why it's never a surprise to see how they have been gaining traction in the entertainment industry. You know, people love Cinderella or Romeo & Juliet displays and Kdramas do a good job of that.

Everything I've said so far is the exact reason why this Kdrama, Shadow Detective, will not be everybody's cup of tea. There is nothing Lovey-dovey in this show and there wasn't any knight in shining armour. Nonetheless, if you enjoy shows about Crime, Mystery and Investigation, you will have so much fun digging into this show.

Drama: Shadow Detective

Network: Disney+

Episodes: 8

Release Date: Oct 26 - Nov 16, 2022

The first season of the show was satisfactorily captivating and thrilling. It was filled with intensity and I enjoyed playing Sherlock in my attempt to unmask 'Friend', the mysterious blackmailer and collaborator. Hehe.

Just when I thought I'd successfully unravelled the mysterious blackmailer, the writer went bonkers with an unexpected plot twist. As it stands, I'm back to square one in my attempt to unmask the ultimate villain of this show. This is why I'm genuinely waiting for the second season to hit the airwaves. The second season will be aired this year so, I won't have to wait too long for that.

The only downside to this show;

For the record, whenever I see a Kdrama that has this kinda theme, the show will always get on my watchlist, 9 times out of 10. This one took a while for me to add to my watchlist because I noticed that the main character is an 'Ahjussi' (elderly man). Lolz.

That's my personal bias though... I know that shows like this has a lot of Chase scenes, fighting scenes and stuff like that. That's why I prefer a younger lad in such a role... Someone that can deliver well in the physicality required to play the role to a tee.

Well, the main character in this role did a really good job in that regard. Despite his age (55), he had so many fighting and chase scenes and he played them nicely. Since the production crew did a good job with this, I will gladly look forward to the second season of the show.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma

The just 8 episodes have attracted me to go do this movie. Lengthy movies are currently choking my time 😥

Nice movie review 🙌
