Looking at the game that will be played tonight, so many Liverpool faithfuls like Rafa Benfitez are already saying that;

If we can score the next goal then we would be back in the game.

I'm not surprised though. Rafa has experienced something like this as the manager of Liverpool during the reputable 'Miracle Of Istanbul. That was the Champions League final of 2005 when we overturned a 3 goals deficit against AC Milan and ended up winning the Title for that season.

I also have some fun memories of Liverpool's comeback in the Champions League. The one of 2020 which we pulled against Barcelona is the type I won't be forgetting any time soon. Anfield experienced an eruption that European night.

The problem we have going into today's game is that Liverpool's performance for the vast majority of this season has not been inspiring in any way. The same team that played 7-0 against the giants of Manchester got completely outplayed against the small boys in Bournemouth.

How will this Liverpool team overturn a 3 goals deficit against this formidable Real Madrid team?

Is there even a chance?

To be honest with y'all, I'm going to watch this game from the first to the last minute and I'm going to be naively optimistic about a favourable turn of events.

Yeah, I know that Real Madrid has been a nightmare for Liverpool in European competitions since 5 years ago. A part of me wants to believe that I will come out with a smiling face after watching that game but I won't be surprised if we get battered from the first minute of the game.

Let's enjoy this awesome European night.
