Crypto Scam is on the increase | Keep your assets safe.

The last couple of days have been filled with wave after wave of reports from people who got some shady links on discord or some juicy offer in the comment section of their Hive posts.

You know how these things go;

Click and get 100 Hive for 'just clicking'.

Haha. If only people got Hive by just clicking some random URL, everyone on the blockchain would have become a whale. But that's not the case.

I've also received tons of messages on Twitter. I won't go into the details, but the point I'm trying to make is that these things are out there.

Just like we have scammers giving shady offers to people in real life, what we get in the virtual world is a step up to whatever you can imagine in real life. It takes a split second for you to become their victim and once you are caught in their trap, the story barely ends in a good way.

I know you've probably heard a thing or two about people that got scammed of their Crypto. It's one of those things you wouldn't want to experience to get the full idea of how it feels. This is why it's important to be mindful of what we get involved with especially when it has to do with accepting juicy offers or investing in projects that are not well-vetted.

Some say it's ridiculous that people fall for some shady schemes. That's true, but don't be too quick to judge. While some are too good to be true, if you come across such offers at your low point, you may easily fall victim to their schemes. It can happen to anyone.

To increase your chances of being safe from these, you have to make it a habit to always vet an investment opportunity you see or any offer you get. Have in mind that the account of your closest friend can also be compromised and used to target you. So, regardless of who the offer is coming from, always be wary.

Do your due diligence.
