Les quiero regalar este poema. Pertenece a una etapa oscura de mi vida, una etapa en la que perdí la fe en todo. Una etapa cuyos sonidos de vez en cuando me visitan.

I want to give you this poem. It belongs to a dark stage of my life, a stage in which I lost faith in everything. A stage whose sounds from time to time visit me.

Eutanasia

Cuando los ángeles deciden morir
ya nada puede hacerse.
Ni herejía quemada
ni incienso a borbotones,
ni cirio luminoso
no sirve comunión, velos rasgados,
no funcionan plegarias.
A nada sabe el vino,
a cartón la hostia,
a mierda el padrenuestro.
Cuando los ángeles han elegido morir,
se queda Dios sin brazos, sin piernas
y quién es Dios sin la mano
moviéndole su silla de ruedas
qué cosa es Dios
diciendo “llueve” si que llueva...
sólo le queda sin hechos la palabra,
sin boca la palabra, en silencio la palabra.
Nada puede hacerse:
la noche
en que los ángeles se apliquen la eutanasia
Dios va a quedarse en cama
paralítico
cagándose en la sábana
como un viejito más.

Euthanasia

When the angels decide to die
nothing can be done.
Nor burned heresy
nor gushing incense,
nor luminous candle
communion does not work,
nor torn veils, or prayers.
The wine tastes nothing
the host tastes like cardboard,
The Lord's Prayer tastes like shit.
When the angels have chosen to die,
God is left without arms, without legs
and who is God without the hand
moving his wheelchair
what is God
saying "it rains" without raining...
only the word remains without facts,
without mouth the word, in silence the word.
Nothing can be done:
the night
in which the angels apply euthanasia
God is going to stay in bed
paralytic
shitting on his sheet
just like another old man.
