[ENG-SPN] In the crypt / En la cripta

DSC_0257_edited.jpg

Far from being impressed by Lovecraft's terrifying stories, who saw in them the ideal door to enter the chilling scenarios of nightmare worlds and unimaginable horrors, the crypts, even with all the psychological force of their chthonic or funerary function, always impressed me. They have seemed like places where one breathes a peace, certainly peculiar, ideal, in addition, to bring out that melancholic Hamlet, who, in some way, accompanies us all, inducing us to reflect on what Milan Kundera called, very aptly. , like the unbearable lightness of being.

There was a time when Architecture seemed to devolve, fixing its gaze, on the recommendation of architects and restorers, such as Violet le Duc, on architectural styles of the past, such as the Romanesque and those muds, which, without a doubt, were in the end passing fads, there remain, for a posterity that barely recognizes them, these muds, which, even though they are modern, invite us to reprogram our most distressing algorithms, making us think about the importance of living fully in the present, well, as he once said Julius Caesar, the die, at least, as far as our future is concerned, has certainly already been cast.
