HiveFest Update: First names, Hotel recommendations and Tickets now available!

Behind the scenes work is done to make HiveFest 2024, from 10 till 15 September in Split, Croatia another unforgettable edition!

First Names Announced:

We are thrilled to introduce some of the key speakers for HiveFest 2024. Here are the first eight confirmed speakers:

  1. Howo: A core developer of the Hive blockchain, known for his deep technical insights and contributions to the ecosystem.
  2. Arcange: The founder of HiveBuzz, HiveAuth, and HiveSQL, Arcange is a cornerstone of the Hive community with his numerous projects and developments.
  3. Blocktrades: Core developer of the Hive blockchain together with his team, Blocktrades has been instrumental in driving forward the technology and capabilities of the Hive blockchain.
  4. Theycallmedan: Co-founder of 3Speak and SPK Network, Dan is a vocal advocate for free speech and decentralization.
  5. Starkerz: A co-creator of Oracle-D, 3Speak, and SPK Network, Starkerz is known for his innovative projects and community engagement.
  6. Vaultec: A developer at 3Speak, SPK Network, and VSC Project, Vaultec is a key player in the technical advancement of Hive-related platforms.
  7. Techcoderx: Developer of VSC Blocks and Aioha, and a Hive witness, Techcoderx is recognized for his technical prowess and contributions to the Hive blockchain.
  8. Stoodkev: Developer of Hive Keychain, Stoodkev has made significant contributions to the usability of the Hive ecosystem.

Hotel Recommendations

For your stay in Split, Croatia, during HiveFest 2024, we have curated a list of recommended hotels to suit different preferences and budgets. The room rates vary depending on occupancy. Most rooms can suit up to 4 people, but at most 3 people is recommended. Follow the booking links on the HiveFest website to get instructions on how to book! Please note that these rooms are available for booking till 10.8.2024 before they get back onto the general market.

Luxury Rooms Via Mare

Located near the famous Bacvice Beach, Luxury Rooms Via Mare offers stylish and modern rooms with stunning sea views. This hotel is perfect for those looking to enjoy the coastal beauty of Split while being close to the HiveFest venue. Prices range from 50 to 150 EUR per night.

Heritage Hotel Jupiter

Situated within the historic Diocletian Palace, Heritage Hotel Jupiter combines luxury with a touch of history. Guests can enjoy beautifully decorated rooms, a rooftop terrace with panoramic views, and a gourmet restaurant offering exquisite dining experiences. Prices range from 75 to 230 EUR per night.

Luxury Rooms Bošket

Nestled in the heart of Split, Luxury Rooms Bošket offers a serene and comfortable stay with its stylishly decorated rooms and lush garden. This hotel provides a tranquil retreat while being conveniently located close to major attractions and the HiveFest venue. Prices range from 47.50 to 135 EUR per night.

Ofcourse you can also find your own place to stay. It is recommended to stay near the city centre / old town as most of the events are centered here and can be reached by foot.

Tickets are now available (HBD / HIVE)

Tickets for HiveFest 2024 are now available for purchase using HIVE or HBD. The ticket types cater to different levels of financial contribution, allowing those who can afford to pay more to help subsidise discounts for plankton and minnow tickets.

Thanks to @valueplan and initial sponsors (soon announced!) the fixed costs of the event are mostly covered. So you pay with your ticket for the meals and experiences. The General Admission / Regular ticket will set you back 299 HBD. Minnow and plankton tickets with discount are available, we count on your good faith.

Regardless of the ticket type, all attendees will enjoy the same perks, which include:

  • Access to all conference sessions and networking events.
  • Entry to the HiveFest app for real-time updates and networking.
  • Welcome bag with exclusive HiveFest merchandise.
  • Daily lunches and coffee breaks.
  • Evening social events and parties.
  • Gala dinner
  • A full board daytrip boat tour
  • Entertainment

Note: the fiat ticket shop will open soon, offering more payment options like credit cards and e-banking. Stay tuned for more updates!

It's official as of now! Forky will be there...

Now the only part I need to do, and that is the only part left to do! Is to buy the HiveFest ticket! LOL 🤣 The rest is done... Pretty smooouch! - some will understand why this is the easiest part for me!

Super excited about this, you can't even fricking imagine how much hype in my head is developing because I am finally meeting a HUGE amount of people I have been sooooo much along been having chats, collaborating, having fun, etc... you name it. 😍

This will mark a historical moment for me, soooo, Hopefully, I will see you too!

I found the answer on telegram:

1 of these is a hotel. Hotel Jupiter. The others are apartments. The hotel is the priciest option and the more luxurious one. We arent hosting opening and closing drinks there. Both will be hosted in restaurants and cafes inside the old town.
But anything in Split you pick its all close by and you can walk on foot.

Croatia is the safest country in Europe so day, night, its all fine. Uber is there or taxi if you want to spend money. :)

On #Hive, it seems like there is no one to help with #baddownvotes. This raises the question of what is the point of $Hive and why anyone would want to invest in something that you have no real control over and can be wrongly attacked by bad downvoters some with mined #Hivepower. Hive is run by a few powerful accounts who do as they like and answer to no one. No one dares to say a word or be downvoted. It has been like this since the days of Steemit and on Hive, it has gotten worse. The power is in the wrong hands and some people can't handle the power. On Hive, it's clear that the Hive Police are just there to farm Hive with their friends and get others to invest so they can cash out. Even with this HBD spend thing going on, this will do nothing for Hive. It will just attract more sellers to Hive and nothing else. Whoever comes up with these ideas has no fucking clue what they are doing. Stop selling a dream to people. Not everyone can make something on Hive. The trending page is crap it only takes one whale to upvote a post, and it's on trending. You see many posts make over dollars with no real engagement while other posts with plenty of engagement get barely anything at all. Hive is so centralized it is unreal. On Hive Those who are being supported day in and day out will say differently as they are being paid. You authors on Hive who make up stuff just to post a daily blog and talk a lot of nothing, and just have a chat with friends in the comments to make it look like they had some real engagement it just looks stupid who comes to Hive to chat. We do not want to bring Hive down, but you people are doing it yourselves. As time goes on, more and more people will catch on to the game that is being played on Hive, and it will not end well. Hive is not meant to be run the way it is being run, we will not run as we have done no wrong all we did was highlight the issues that need to be fixed on Hive. We will keep sharing the truth until something is done because if we don't speak up, who will? Hive has no future if it continues to go down this long dark road, it's going.
