HIVE is the cryptocurrency of the year, not only is it one of the digital assets that has risen the most in recent days/months with a clear uptrend throughout 2021, but it is also measured on an end-to-end basis over the last 365 days of the year.

Its current position is #152 (1)

A couple of days ago - looking for sources of inspiration to write a new post - I read an article by user @enrique89 explaining what the value of #HIVE should be to enter the top 100 coins by market capitalisation.

From that moment on, I started to think about writing a post hypothesising the possibility that our cryptocurrency would be among the top ten in the ranking established, in this case, by CoinmarketCap. But it could also be Coingecko or any other website. The values between one and the other do not vary too much.

Could HIVE be in the Top Ten in the near future? Is it a utopia or does it have a glimmer of reality?

Let's make a brief analysis.

HIVE es la criptomoneda del año, no solo es uno de los activos digitales que más ha aumentado en los últimos días/meses con una tendencia netamente alcista durante todo el 2021, sino que lo es también medida de punta a punta durante los últimos 365 días del año.

Su posición actual es la #152 (1)

Hace un par de días -buscando fuentes de inspiración para escribir un nuevo post- leí un artículo del usuario @enrique89 explicando cuál debería ser el valor de #HIVE para entrar dentro de las primeras 100 monedas por valor de capitalización en el mercado.

A partir de ese momento comencé a pensar a elaborar un post hipotizando la posibilidad de que nuestra criptomoneda llegara a estar entre las diez primeras del ránking establecido, en este caso, por CoinmarketCap. Pero también podría ser Coingecko o cualquier otra página. Los valores entre una y otra no varían demasiado.

Podría en un futuro cercano HIVE estar dentro de la Top Ten.? Es una utopía o tiene algún viso de realidad?

Hagamos un breve análisis.

Let's do a simple calculation: 28,693,332,221 is the market cap value of today's last-place, tenth-place DOGE Coin with a unit value of $0.2173.

It is important to note that the value of DOGE remained unchanged at an almost derisory price for a long time until Elon Musk boosted its upward trend through a tweet where -among other things- he declared that his electric car company Tesla accepted cryptocurrencies for the purchase of vehicles.

It is the cryptocurrency that has risen the most in percentage terms this year (more than 7,300%) but currently after this "initial take-off of its historical value" it maintains a relatively stable price.

HIVE on its own has a capitalisation value of $559,550,855 and is trading, penny more penny less at $1.44 (2) The outstanding amount is 387,656,640 HIVE.

Now doing a simple rule of three problem we have the following equation:

if a working capital of 387,656,640 corresponds to a value of 1,44
to what value would a working capital of 28,693,332,221 HIVE correspond?

Resolution: 28,693,332,221 x 1.44/ 387,656,640 = $ 106.58

I would sow a science fiction tale, wouldn't I? Maybe, but science fiction sometimes approaches and even transforms into reality over time. Jules Verne, Ray Bradbury, George Orwell, Philip Dick, Richard Matheson and others have proved this. Many of their books have been made into films and have remained as unquestionable proof of their vision and their talent for predicting certain events.

But let us return to cryptocurrencies, which is the subject that interests us.

Hagamos un simple cálculo: 28,693,332,221 es el valor de capitalización de la moneda que hoy ocupa eseltimo lugar, -el décimo- DOGE Coin con un valor unitario de $ 0,2173.

Es importante destacar que el valor de DOGE permaneció inmutable a un precio casi irrisorio durante mucho tiempo hasta que Elon Musk potenció su tendencia alcista a través de un tweet donde -entre cosas- declaraba que su empresa de autos eléctricos Tesla aceptaba criptomonedas para la compra de los vehículos.

Es la criptomoneda que más ha subido porcentualmente durante este año (más del 7.300%) pero actualmente luego de este "despegue inicial de su valor histórico" mantiene un precio relativamente estable.

HIVE por su cuenta tiene un valor de capitalización de $559,550,855 y se está cotizando, centavo más centavo menos a $ 1,44 (2). El circulante es de 387,656,640 HIVE

Ahora bien haciendo un problema de regla de tres simple tenemos la siguiente ecuación:

si un circulante de 387,656,640 corresponde a un valor de 1,44
a que valor correspondería un circulante de 28,693,332,221 HIVE?

Resolución: 28,693,332,221 x 1,44/ 387,656,640 = $ 106,58

Sembraría un cuento de ciencia ficción verdad? Puede ser, pero la ciencia ficción a veces se aproxima y hasta se transforma en realidad con el correr del tiempo. Lo han demostrado Julio Verne, Ray Bradbury, George Orwell, Philip Dick y Richard Matheson entre otros. Mu chos de sus libros han sido llevados al cine y han quedado como muestra inobjetable de su visión y su talento para predecir algunos eventos.

Pero volvamos a las criptomonedas que es el tema que nos interesa.

Leaving mathematical equations aside and moving on to statistics, we can state that over the last year, meaning the last 365 days, HIVE has increased according to CoinmarketCap:

On 25/11/2021 it was worth $ 0.1223 with a daily trading volume of $ 5.39 million. Today HIVE is worth $1.44 with $221.12 million in daily transactions.

The unit value increased: [(1.44/0.1223)-1]*100 = 1,077.43%.

Yes, more than a thousand percent. And now we ask ourselves, as neophytes and enthusiasts of mathematics and cryptocurrencies that we are (at least the writer), never an expert by any means, the following question: at this rate, with this trend, how long could it take for HIVE to reach the Top Ten?

Dejando de lado las ecuaciones matemáticas y pasando a las estadisticas podemos afirmar que. durante el último año, entendiendo por tal los últimos 365 días, el HIVE ha aumentado según CoinmarketCap:

Al 25/11/2021 valía$ 0,1223 con un volumen diario de transacciones de $ 5.39 millones. Hoy el HIVE vale $ 1,44 con $ 221,12 millones diarios en transacciones.

El valor unitario aumentó: [(1,44/0,1223)-1]*100 = 1.077,43%

Si, más del mil por ciento. Y ahora nos hacemos de neófitos y apasionados de matemáticas y criptomonedas que somos (al menos el que escibe) nunca un experto ni mucho menos, la siguiente pregunta: a este paso, con esta tendencia cuanto podría tardar en llegar a la Top Ten el HIVE?

I think everybody knows what D-Day meant in the Second World War. As there are a lot of young people in HIVE, just in case I remember it.

D-Day was the date that marked the landing of the allied troops in Normandy marking the beginning of the end of Hitler's government.

It was the 6th of June 1944 and the Allies with the support of the USA landed in Normandy to begin liberating France from Nazi occupation and to continue with the rest of Europe until its total liberation from the Germans.

From then on D-Day came to be singled out, in any event, as a crucial point in its development, in any project of any kind.

With all the limitations I have at my disposal (starting with my own capacity) and the unpredictable volatility of cryptocurrencies, I will try to elaborate a simulation to determine which day - if the trend of the last year remains the same in the future - our beloved HIVE can be in the Top Ten.

If today the HIVE is worth 1.44 in one year it could be worth: $ 1.44 * 1.077,43% = $ 15,50 (25/11/2022)

And in two years time, for example on 25/11/2023?: $ 15.5150 * 1,077.43% = $ 167.1632

We exceeded the target value of $ 106.58. This means that we would reach the same value earlier.

Let us try to identify exactly when we would reach this value. If 1.077,43% is the variation, nothing prevents us from making a real simulation (although sometimes the reality is not so linear but very different) and dividing that number by the days of the year we arrive at the daily variation of the HIVE: 1.077,43/365 = 2,9519.

Now, what is the exact relationship between the current value we have taken as a base ($1.44) and the value we want to reach ($106.58)?

To solve this problem we must make use of what we learned in the last years of high school or in the university entrance exam as a compound rule of three, where instead of two variables there are three.

The equation will take this form: if 167.16 is the initial value 1.44 that HIVE will take in 730 days, how much time must elapse for that initial value of 1.44 to reach a value of $ 106.58.

To sum up:

167.16 1.44 730 days
106,58 1,44 730 days x 106,58 / 167,17 = 465,41

That is to say that exactly in 465,41 days, and at this point I leave the calculation of minutes and seconds for another mathematical expert, and I say in 465 days, that is to say on the 4th day of 04/03/2023 the HIVE we suppose will have a value of $ 106,58.

Obviously we must consider the variable of the rest of the currencies that make up the Top Ten, but whether DOGE, USDC -with a parity against the dollar-, DOT, XRP or ADA have not maintained a stable line throughout the year and nothing presages a substantial future increase in their value.

They depend on the attention they can attract among investors, while HIVE has in its favour not only the continuous rise in value but also an entire ecosystem at its disposal that feeds back on its own.

One example is enough: when HIVE emerged in March 2020 as a result of a STEEM fork, the value of this currency was 20% higher than the value of HIVE, today it is worth less than half.

Creo que todos saben que significó el dia D en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Como en HIVE hay muchas personas jóvenes por las dudas lo recuerdos.

El dia D fue la fecha que marcó el desembarco de las tropas aliadas en Normandía señalando el inicio de la fin del gobierno de Hitler .

Era el 6 de junio de 1944 y los aliados con el apoyo de los EE. UU desembarcaron en Normandia para comenzar liberando Francia de la ocupación nazista y seguir con el resto de Europa hasta su total liberación de los alemanes.

De ahí en más el dia D pasó a ser señalado, en cualquier evento, como un punto crucial en su desarrollo, en cualquier proyecto de cualquier tipo.

Con todas las limitaciones que tengo a disposición (comenzando por mi propia capacidad) y la imprevedible volatibilidad de las criptomonedas trataré de elaborar una simulación para determinar que dia -si la tendencia del último año continúa siendo la misma en el futuro- nuestro querido HIVE puede estar en la Top Ten

Si hoy el HIVE vale 1,44 dentro de un año podría valer: $ 1,44 * 1.077,43% = $ 15,50 (25/11/2022)

Y dentro de dos años, por ejemplo el 25/11/2023?: $ 15,5150 * 1.077,43% = $ 167,1632

Nos pasamos del valor buscado que era de $ 106,58. Quiere decir que llegaríamos al mismo antes.

Tratemos de identificar entonces con exactitud en que momento alcanzaríamos ese valor. Si 1.077,43% es la variación nada nos impide hacer una simulación real (aunque a veces la realidad no es tan lineal sino muy distinta) y dividiendo ese número por los días del año llegamos a la variación diaria del HIVE: 1.077,43/365 = 2,9519

Ahora bien cuál es la relación exacta entre el valor actual que hemos tomado como base ($ 1,44) y el valor al cuál queremos llegar ($ 106,58)?.

Para resolver este problema debemos hacer uso de lo que en los últimos años de la escuela media o en el examen de ingreso de la universidad aprendimos como regla de tres compuesta, donde en vez de dos variables hay tres.

La ecuación tomará esta forma: si 167,16 es el valor inicial 1,44 que el HIVE tomará dentro de 730 dias, cuánto tiempo deberá transcurrir para que ese valor inicial de 1,44 llegue a un valor de $ 106,58

En síntesis:

167,16 1,44 730 dias
106,58 1,44 730 dias x 106,58 / 167,17 = 465,41

Es decir que exactamento dentro de 465,41 dias, y a este punto dejo el cálculo de minutos y segundos para otro apasaionado de las matemáticas, y digo dentro de 465 días, es decir el dia 4 de 04/03/2023 el HIVE suponemos tendrá un valor de $ 106,58.

Obviamente debemos considerar la variable del resto de las monedas que integran la Top Ten pero ya sea DOGE, USDC -con una paridad respecto al dólar-, DOT, XRP o ADA no han mantenido una línea estable a lo largo del año y nda hace presagiar un sustancial aumento futuro en su valor.

Dependen de la atención que puedan suscitar entre los inversionistas mientras que HIVE tiene a su favor no solo el continuo valor en alza sino además un entero ecosistema a su disposición que se va retroalimentando por su cuenta.

Es suficiente un ejemplo: cuando surge HIVE en marzo 2020 como consecuencia de una bifurcación de STEEMel valor de esta moneda estaba un 20% arriba del valor de HIVE, hoy vale menos de la mitad.

The high volatility in the cryptocurrency market means that its value fluctuates constantly in both directions, up and down.

Finally, it is extremely important to stress that none of the reflections I make in this post should be interpreted as financial advice. I am not an expert trader, far from it, but a mathematics and statistics enthusiast who has only made a simulation to answer a question that, at present, may sound like a fantasy. (1) Based on the increase in value over the last 24 hours HIVE has moved to position #138 gaining 14 positions from yesterday's survey.

(2) When I started writing this post yesterday HIVE's value was the quoted value of $1,44. Today when completing, revising the post and publishing its value is at $ 1.76 with a variation of more than 20% so the calculations should be reworked, the simulation serves only to demonstrate a theory. The values change in continuation. But as long as the uptrend continues everything is in HIVE's favour and the target could be met ahead of schedule.

(2) Cuando comencé a elaborar este post en el día de ayer el valor de HIVE era el citado, de $ 1,44. Hoy al completar, revisar el post y publicar su valor está en $ 1,76 con una variación superior al 20% por lo tanto los cálculos deberían ser reelaborados.La simulación sirve solo a demostrar una teoría. Los valores cambian en continuación. Pero mientras la tendencia alcista siga todo juega a favor de HIVE y el objetiuvo podría ser cumplido antes de la fecha prevista.
