My Hive Goals (Week 29, 2024)

This is a short sum-up table with the state of my goals in easier TLDR form. The table has only a general overview, with details expanded in the post.

52-Week HBD Savings Challenge

A 52-week challenge following the popular model starts slowly and becomes increasingly more difficult with every passing week. The challenge is not at the beginning but at the end. That's why, we can use the easy start to prepare for the tougher weeks ahead.

In my case, I started with 1 HBD in week 1. This is also the step that increases the amount I need to save every week. The rule is, in my case: I need to add to savings the amount of HBD per week equal to the week number in the challenge. That means, in week 52 I'll need to save 52 HBD.

We are in the 30th week of the 52-week HBD challenge. That means I added 30 HBD to the savings for this particular goal, and reached 465 HBD, without counting the accrued interest.

Here's how things look right now:

Note: You can see there is already a small discrepancy in the totals between the spreadsheet and what is in the wallet. That is because of some approximations and easy calculations in the spreadsheet.

I added about half of the amount needed from my reserves (almost 15 HBD) to reach the necessary 30 HBD this week. Good to see a week a little better on the rewards side to help with this goal. 😀

Total HBD remaining to add to complete this challenge (broken down into increasing weekly targets): 913 HBD.

Already added: 465 HBD.

Posting & Commenting Goal

I haven't missed a daily post this year yet. Reached 1858 posts published, with 147 left to hit the target in 2024. That puts the progress at 58% where 55.77% was needed to be in the green.

Here's the situation so far:

I haven't missed any edition of Week through Adrian's Lenses in 2024 either, and I mention this since it's also part of my posting goal. Overall, I reached the 80th edition of the weekly roundup which debuted at the beginning of 2023.

I also started the week with 19,612 comments made. Ended the week with 19690 which means I made 78 comments last week, which is below the weekly average needed to reach the comments target by the end of the year.

I currently need an average of 101 comments weekly to reach the comments target by the end of the year. This goal starts to not look good... I don't seem to have the motivation to comment as frequently as in the past. Having lots of other things to do that diverts my attention may be one reason for that.

LEO Staked

My LEO stake remained at 24,400 LP, with 3k delegated to one of the winners of the LPUD prizes. I guess the plan is to add more to the LEO-CACAO pool. I would have preferred to do it when the volume rewards start, but that seems to not be something in the sooniverse, or at least they aren't talked about anymore.

Here's the current situation:

If I participate in the future LPUDs as before, with 200 LEO power-ups, and nothing else staked throughout the months, this goal should be completed in October.

Splinterlands: Increase Grain PP to 400,000

Goal started in week 19.

What's the progress so far?

Started previous week at 350,640 PP. Today's number is 347,870 PP. That's +2,770 PP, which is above my needed average. I need +2381 PP weekly to complete this goal until mid-December.

The major bottleneck for me here is and has always been for land staked DEC.

Land Plots Unlocked - Completed

Goal completed in Week 18, with the following situation at the time:

73 plots were productive and 27 were still under construction.

Currently, 95 plots are productive out of 100, with 5 still under construction (still clearing). 1 plot became productive this week.

ZING Multiplier - Completed

Some developments worth noting for @Holozing. They just added achievements (one, so far, for the last Christmas' Advent Calendar Daily Claim rewards, with different tiers depending on how many days you claimed).

That is the basis for the Collection Rewards, so far. The rewards for staking and LP rewards have been tweaked too.

Goal completed in week 10 with 25,203 ZING.

Since then, I slowly grew my stash from staking rewards only. Waiting for sales.

My ZING holdings are now at 26,880.

This was the final situation when the goal was achieved, I won't keep updating it:

Consistency is important, but meeting that commenting goal is definitely challenging. At first, it might not have seemed like many daily comments were needed. However, even though I haven’t been here long, I find it difficult to find posts that really resonate with me enough to take the time to comment on them.

That is true, but sometimes a few good conversations can do it. Haven't had many of them lately since everyone is busy (including myself) doing various things, and usually a comment and reply is the max you will get. Conversations are rare. But if you are looking for casual ones, Threads on Inleo might be the place to find them.

It's that time of the year: the busiest for me. I'm getting ready for the new school year, prepping for my class (which starts tomorrow), and my oldest son started school this year as well. So I definitely understand that the people can get super busy.

It's hard to find time to do things lately, but I still think your comment goal is possible. It might require some threads though as I think that is probably the best place to get a conversation going in a short time.

I tried a few times on Threads. But maybe I'm too picky lately where I comment on.

Nice progress, especially on that HBD! That LEO stack is impressive as well. Keeping up with comment goals is tough, but you have kept up with the daily posts which is admirable!

I'm still worried a bit about Splinterlands and am so hesitant to invest more into it right now. I hope they can get things back on the right track. But you're making great progress there too!

Keeping up with comment goals is tough

It's tougher than it has been in previous years, it seems. I've set the target based on previous years performance on comments.

I'm still worried a bit about Splinterlands and am so hesitant to invest more into it right now. I hope they can get things back on the right track.

Yeah, things are going in the right direction, but it will take time for them to stabilize as a business, which is what we all want, hopefully.

It’s good to see that you are engaging well with people by making comments
I love people who interact on here😁😁

Thanks, I like people who interact too. I used to interact more, but I guess I started to find lots of other things to do and my interaction levels dropped to some extent.

Your progress on the 52-week challenge is impressive. Keep up the good work brother

Thanks. Getting harder and harder by the week.

I can imagine, it won't be easy

October is almost here and I hope you achieve your goals

October is only for the Leo goal. For the others I think the target is for all December.
