Woo Lore Round 3 Winners!

It's time, Round 3 is over and the entries are in! Mad Mike's backstories are written and there were a bunch of solid entries. Check out the contest post if you missed it! WOO Lore Mad Mike Contest.

With a character like Mad Mike we had a little more to go on than with the Hinterland Hunters and Willow White. He had a fleshed out finishing move description and for the first time in the lore contest we have an established champion. This guy has skills and he needed a backstory to match. With a nickname like "The Maritime Monster" and a Finishing Move called the Fish Hook it seemed inevitable that we would get some fishing stories, a few latched onto the martial arts inspired portion of his style description too!

@allonyx.ngs came in just an hour or so late with this entry but I am going to include it in the judging pool, if it had been more than an hour or two late I would have had to discount it.. It is a solid piece describing a battle between Mike and a Sea Monster to avenge his parents and grandfather, earning him the name Maritime Monster.

@blitzzzz came in with a piece focused on Mike's years learning "the Way of the Fish" from a martial arts master. It was an entertaining read and I appreciated that it incorporated a little humor!

@cjlugo's piece showed off the strength of the Maritime Monster as he saved his father from being crushed between two boats in a storm. His display of strength and ferocity inspired him to become a wrestler with his fathers blessings.

@wrestlingdesires wrote a piece that gave us some insight into just how Mike developed his signature finishing move, subduing the unsavory captain of his fishing boat before returning to his martial arts training.

@cryptoniusrex took a slightly different approach and focused on Mike being somewhat Mad. Forever in pursuit of a nostalgic fish sandwich and trained by the Royal Taiwanese Armed Forces he is an unstable and deadly foe capable of dispatching even Titan in moments.

Winners and Prizes!

With fewer contestants having entered Round 2 of the contest, we do have a few extra Prizes to add to the pool this time around! Without further shenanigans the winners are as follows:

@blitzzzz takes first prize and wins 2 WOO Saturn Packs, 1 WOO Alpha Pack, 70 PIZZA, and 20 SCHOLAR.
Blitzzzz's piece was entertaining, funny, and combined the maritime aspect of Mad Mike with his martial arts inspired style most effectively.

@wrestlingdesires takes second prize and wins 1 WOO Saturn Pack, 1 WOO Alpha Pack, 50 PIZZA, and 10 SCHOLAR.
Wrestlingdesires entry was well written and gave us insight into the signature Fish Hook maneuver, but the connection between fishing and martial arts didn't track as well as Blitzzzz's.

@cryptoniusrex takes third prize and wins 1 WOO Alpha Pack, 25 PIZZA, and 10 SCHOLAR.
Crytoniusrex's piece was funny and read well, I appreciated it showed that Mike is more than a little unhinged, but it needed a bit more fleshing out.

@allonyx.ngs and @cjlugo each receive 5 PIZZA and 5 SCHOLAR for entering! I enjoyed both of these pieces as well!
