You know you can transfer the HSBI units from your old account to this one. You can transfer the old old SBI units from your steem account to this one as well. Don't just abandon them.
I haven't been scammed yet. I usually check out the person pretty carefully before I buy anything from them. For example, on ebay I won't buy from anyone who doesn't have an extremely high rating with no negative reviews. I also won't buy from anyone from China. Too high of a risk of fakes.
Anyway, knock on wood. I've been lucky so far!

Yes, I know but I locked myself out of my old account long time ago. I think it happened when I tried to change my password and the password database didn't sync it correctly. There were a few other incidents around that time. I just don't remember if that also goes for the Hive account or just Steem. Need to check that I guess, thanks for the reminder!
That's smart not to buy from someone without extreme high rating, but also China, I think it's tricky with so many fakes. Especially because they tend to use the pictures of an original item (not just coins but with anything) which they then replicate and when you receive it, you see the difference. Often to be found in the review section, lol.

Yes, and sorry I read your comment but it was on my phone and I wasn't logged in so I was planning to comment back later, and then I forgot. Busy weeks :)
I will need to check if it would even be possible because I locked myself out of my old account (not sure if that was steemit or hive though). Wrote it on my task list will check it next week or so. It could be I can still access it but I forgot what happened exactly.
